Bulldozer looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Bulldozer blocks the body kick.
Madera looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Bulldozer avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Salad is looking to take this one to the mat.#TD2# Bulldozer is fighting off a takedown attempt but Salad is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Bulldozer to the mat. Bulldozer regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Bulldozer wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Salad manages to pass to side control. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.#REVR# The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Hunt lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Brunga drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Hunt gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Hunt lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Brunga or not. Hunt lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Brunga is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Brunga is breathing heavily. A nice left hand lands by Hunt.
Hunt goes for a takedown in the clinch but Brunga prevents it.
Hunt lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Hunt lands a hook that snaps the head of Brunga backwards. Hunt prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ungga Brunga. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hunt throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Brungas head. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Hunt. A short uppercut from Hunt. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hunt trying to control the position but instead, Brunga has worked for underhooks and has pushed Hunt into the cage. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Hunt creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Hunt's coach down at Mighty MMA was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Hunt's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Mcdoobershit is trying to break free. Mcdoobershit has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Melendez tries to pull guard but Mcdoobershit won't allow it.
Mcdoobershit is trying to push Melendez away but Melendez has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.#BC2# Melendez manages to break the clinch.
#TD2# A momentary lapse in concentration from Mcdoobershit enables Melendez to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Mcdoobershit manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Mcdoobershit wants to get back to his feet but Melendez passes into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Mcdoobershit looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Melendez wants to control the pace but Mcdoobershit is squirming around nicely. #T2# Mcdoobershit is trying desperately to improve position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Melendez trying to control but he's not successful this time. Melendez scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Mcdoobershit?

#R1# Brock throws a good cross that connects.
#CUT2#It looks like Hamhock Jingleminge has been cut. Brock throws a hook but Jingleminge blocks it.#CL2# Brock darts in and clinches Jingleminge up against the cage. Brock scores with a shot to the side of Jingleminge's head. Nice body punch from Brock - that landed with a thud.
A left hand lands to the body for Brock.
Brock works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Jingleminge is breathing heavily. Brock lands a right hand that snaps the head of Jingleminge backwards. Jingleminge's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! A short right from Brock on the inside. Jingleminge is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.#BC2# Brock breaks the clinch.
#CL2# Brock drives through and clinches with Jingleminge against the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A short left from Brock. Brock lands a right hand. A short right from Brock. Brock lands a body shot in the clinch.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Brock creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Brock lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Jingleminge backwards. A shot in the inside from Brock. Brock works on Jingleminge's body with a couple of short punches. Brock scores with a shot to the side of Jingleminge's head. Brock lands a shot to the body. A quick uppercut on the inside from Brock. Brock lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Brock digs a right hand underneath Jingleminge's ribcage. Jingleminge let out a lung full of air as it connected. Brock lands on the inside with an uppercut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!#BC2# Brock manages to break the clinch.
Jingleminge avoids a punch combination nicely.
Jingleminge gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Brock gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Jingleminge is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

#R1# Brunga shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Oumardipov sprawls well. Oumardipov wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Brunga gets slowly back to his feet.#TD2# Brunga shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Oumardipov napping and manages to drive through into side control! Oumardipov gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. #SUB# Oumardipov actively working from the bottom here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Brunga is looking to stall here but Oumardipov recovers full guard. #SUB# Brunga content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Oumardipov has locked up a guillotine! Oumardipov's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Brunga is holding on here and Oumardipov must be using up a lot of energy. Brunga has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Oumardipov gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Felix Oumardipov! A very excited looking Felix Oumardipov rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed. |
