Cervenciente tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Leonard engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. #SUB# Sobaka has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Leonard doesn't defend quickly enough and Sobaka has managed to lock this one up! Can Leonard escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Sobaka on a fantastic submission victory.

#TD# Mathis turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Mathis manages to end up in side control. Vincent tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Mathis wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mathis remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Vincent is looking for a sweep.#T1# Vincent is trying to get back to his feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mathis trying to control the action but Vincent is working from the bottom. You can see the frustration on Vincent's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Vincent felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Vincent tries to get back to half guard but can't. Mathis taking a breather here. Mathis wants to control but Vincent is keeping him busy. A frustrated look appears on Darren's face as he tries to break the clinch. Darren has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Haynes throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Darren fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

A quick step to the side and Leonard tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Leonard seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Montegriffo throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Montegriffo pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Leonard throwing a counter right hand but Montegriffo manages to avoid it. Leonard takes a shot right to the bread basket. Nice shot lands for Montegriffo. Leonard's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Montegriffo connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Leonard scrambles back to his feet. Leonard is breathing heavily. Leonard defending well as Montegriffo loads up on a big left hand. Leonard has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Montegriffo finds it's way round the side to connect with Leonard's head. Montegriffo throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Leonard stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Montegriffo digs a good body shot into Leonard's ribs. Leonard showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Montegriffo.
