Giles loses concentration momentarily and Gangster pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! Giles crashes face first to the mat, out cold! Gangster finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.

Giles looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!#CL# Justen has taken the fight to the clinch.

Giles looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Justen goes for a takedown in the clinch but Giles prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Herbert Justen. That's going to take a lot out of him. Justen keeps control of Giles as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Let's see if Walker can do anything to dispel that myth. Walker wants to improve his position but Chavez is controlling well.

Fromm in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Stanton taking punishment in the form of punches.
Stanton is breathing heavily. Fromm content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Fromm landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Stanton stops Fromm from passing to mount. Stanton taking punishment in the form of punches.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Fromm working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well. Fromm tries to move into full mount but can't pass Stanton's legs. Fromm scoring with punches from side control. Stanton is being controlled here. #T2# Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Fromm cracks Stanton with a big elbow. Fromm scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Stanton to see if he's OK. Fromm is putting a hurting on Stanton here, landing some big shots from side control. #ROC2#Stanton is rocked! Fromm remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Fromm wants to control but Stanton is keeping him busy. Fromm lands some shots froms side control. Oh Stanton is still in real trouble! Cooper lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Smith knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cooper on the ground. Smith is breathing heavily. Cooper takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Cooper lands a nice short elbow. Cooper scores with a couple of good hammerfists.#ROC2#Smith is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Cooper lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Smith quite badly. Smith pulls Cooper in close trying to recover. Cooper postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Smith on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Smith doesn't seem to be complaining too much.

Smith darts in looking for a takedown but Man gets double underhooks and turns Smith into the cage. Man throws a right hand that Smith ducks under and follows up with a left that Smith also avoids with ease. Smith shoots in looking for a takedown. Man tries to sprawl out of it but Smith keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Man manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Man throws a series of punches but Smith avoids them all with ease. Smith showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Man.

Man is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.#CL2# Smith moves into the clinch successfully.
#BC# Man breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Smith throws a leg kick but Man sees it coming and checks it nicely. Man appears to be looking for a big counter. Man misses with a low kick. Smith tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Man defends well and Smith ends up having to push Man into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Man swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Smith tries to clinch up but Man circles away and keeps his distance. Smith shoots for a double leg takedown but Man sprawls well. He's pushed Smith's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. It looked like Man was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.#T3# Man throws a series of punches but Smith moves out of range. Man rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Smith moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Man blocks a head kick by Smith.
Smith closes the distance and clinches up with Man, looking for a takedown. Smith pushes Man against the cage but Man circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. George Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Man misses with a few strikes there.

Smith fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Man throws a quick inside leg kick. #T4# Some bone on bone action there as Man checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Man went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Man scoring well with a low kick there.

Smith throws a right hand that Man ducks under and follows up with a left that Man also avoids with ease. Smith shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. A decent looking body kick lands there for Man. Man feints a jab promting Smith to slip. Man then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Smith slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. This has been an exciting period of action! Man lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Kai Man dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.#R2# Horrible takedown attempt by Smith or perhaps it was just good defense by Man, which made it look bad. Man moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Smith throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Man. Man feints a jab promting Smith to slip. Man then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Smith slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Man looks to land a combination but Smith avoids it well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Man pushes Smith away with a front kick. Man scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Man throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Smith takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.#T1# Smith will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Man throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Smith looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Man is fending him off so far but Smith persists. Nope, Man circles away and we're back to standing. Kai Man has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of George Smith. An inside leg kick lands from Man. Smith dodges the punch combination from Man.
Man tries to bum rush Smith with a series of wild strikes but Smith uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Man is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Smith can do to turn this around? Smith slips a jab and a cross from Man.

That had to hurt Smith. Man will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

#R1# Smith dives in and grabs Mail's left leg, looking for a takedown. Mail pushes down on Smith's head and hops out. Mail wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Mail lands a jab-cross combination. Mail catches Smith with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Jab, jab by Mail - just one landing. Smith has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Special Ops N7 Training in the buildup to the fight. Mail lands a lovely overhand right. Mail jabs Smith to the body, keeping him at a distance. George Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Smith is breathing heavily. Smith shoots in for a double leg but Mail sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Smith gets cracked there but stands up to it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Mail scores with a shot to the body.
