#R1##CL# Beair moves into range and clinches up with Acosta. Acosta drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Beair gets the underhooks and prevents it.
#BC# Beair escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Acosta will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.#TD2# Acosta throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Beair tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Acosta is in Beair's guard. Acosta throws a strike but Beair rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. #REVR##SU# Beair gets to his feet - Acosta follows without any prompting. Acosta fails in his attempt to clinch. Beair misses with a wild combination.
#TD# Beair looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Acosta! Acosta throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!#T1##CL# Beair clinches with his opponent.

Acosta is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Beair to keep the fight standing. Cody Beair has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jasrado Acosta. Beair tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Acosta wants a takedown.

Acosta throws a body kick that misses. No luck with that takedown attempt from Beair. #TD# Beair throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Acosta was covering up waiting for the punch and Beair finishes the takedown easily into guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Beair trying to stand up but can't free himself from Acosta's guard. Acosta keeping moving, preventing Beair from controlling successfully. Beair knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. Beair is fighting to break Acosta's control of his arms but Acosta is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Acosta is looking to stand up but Beair isn't so interested in that idea. Beair trying to control the position from guard on top but Acosta is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Acosta keeping full guard, as Beair tries to pass. #REF3# The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.#T4# There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Beair. Acosta shoots for a takedown but Beair saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. And that is the end of the round. Beair has control of Acosta's left arm, preventing Acosta from doing any damage. #T2# Acosta cracks Beair with a solid left hand. Acosta is working Beair over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#SUB# Beair throws his legs up looking for a submission but Acosta uses it to pass to side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Beair is looking to reverse the position. Beair is trying to control Acosta's posture but Acosta avoids it. Beair takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Jasrado Acosta showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Beair misses with a two punch combination.
