#R1##TD2# Brooks throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Arrigoni was covering up waiting for the punch and Brooks finishes the takedown easily into guard. Brooks is in close to Arrigoni's body, working some short punches and elbows.#SUB# Arrigoni escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Brooks gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Arrigoni wants to get back to his feet but Brooks is in a dominant position and won't allow it. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Brooks accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Brooks in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Brooks is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. #SUB# Arrigoni is looking for a triangle but Brooks pushes his legs off easily.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Arrigoni is on top in guard.
#REVR# We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Brooks is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Arrigoni wants to control from the top but Brooks keeps moving. #T1# Arrigoni pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Brooks is keeping the position for now. #ES2# Brooks pushes Arrigoni off and scrambles back to his feet.
#TD2# Brooks feints and as Arrigoni raises his hands in defense, Brooks changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Brooks's corner. There ya go! There ya go! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Arrigoni has momentary wrist control but Brooks slips an elbow through the middle. Brooks scoring with punches to the head and body. Brooks distracts Arrigoni with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Brooks really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Arrigoni. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Brooks postures up and lands a big shot to Arrigoni's brow. #ROC2#Arrigoni is rocked! Arrigoni is breathing heavily. Brooks cracks Arrigoni with a solid left hand. Oh Arrigoni is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!#T2# Brooks gets to his feet and stands over Arrigoni, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Arrigoni felt that one! Brooks unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Arrigoni from any more punishment!
