The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jacobs thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Nelson slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Jacobs stops Nelson from passing to mount. Jacobs is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now.#SUB# Nelson looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. #T1# Jacobs tries to buck Nelson off but Nelson is having none of it. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Artu looking to sweep here. No luck so far. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Banton tries to free his leg and advance position but Artu is retaining full guard. Banton wants to stand but Artu is controlling his posture from full guard. Banton preventing the sweep. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Makhachev tries for a takedown but Page circles away easily and Makhachev takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Page stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Page wants it to stay on the feet. Michael Page has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Islam Makhachev. Makhachev throws a big shot that misses. Makhachev on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Page is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Page slaps away a takedown attempt from Makhachev, before circling back to the center of the mat. Makhachev takes one to the chin there. Page throws a right and a left that Makhachev avoids nicely. Makhachev closes the distance and clinches up with Page, looking for a takedown. Makhachev tries for a takedown but Page circles away easily and Page counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Page scores with a decent looking hook. Makhachev with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Page to score with a decent uppercut. Page throws a nice looking combination but Makhachev bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.#TD2# Makhachev shoots in and bounces Page off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.#SUB# Juice wants to work for an arm triangle but Banton is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
