Valdez wants to lay and pray for a moment but Li keeps working. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Valdez throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. We've been hearing good reports from Valdez's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Li wants to control but Valdez is keeping busy and won't allow it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#SUB# Valdez wants to work for an arm triangle but Li is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Nice defenses there by Mason.#CL2# Knight closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Mason is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Mason tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Knight has Mason pressed against the cage, preventing Mason from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Knight prevents Mason from breaking the clinch. Knight tries to land knees in the clinch but Mason avoids the damage to the body. #TD2# Knight pulls guard successfully.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Knight has been the more effective fighter overall so far.#SUB2# Mason has left one of his arms exposed and Knight doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Garcia slaps away a takedown attempt from Herrera, before circling back to the center of the mat. Herrera ducks right into an uppercut from Garcia. Both fighters circle each other, looking for something big. Garcia moves in and throws an overhand right. That hurt Herrera! Garcia continues to tee off on Herrera, landing with a left and a right! Garcia connects with a right hand that leaves Herrera sleeping against the cage! What a finish by Garcia!
