We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Marcelo Livingston seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Voscamp scores with the left hand. Livingston knows he should have avoided that one. #TD# Livingston fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Voscamp to the ground. Livingston is now in Voscamp's guard. Voscamp controls Livingston momentarily but Livingston frees himself. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Livingston accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Voscamp looking to hit a scissor sweep but Livingston is one step ahead there. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Livingston throws an elbow that misses. Voscamp uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Livingston's guard. #R1# Asakura scores with a one two! Boone had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Boone shoots in looking for a takedown but Asakura manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Boone's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Boone throws a sloppy head kick and Asakura counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Boone showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Asakura.

Asakura avoids a punch combination nicely.
Boone throws the kick towards the body but Asakura avoids it. Asakura changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.#TD2# Boone drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The referee asks Boone politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Boone prefers to stall for the moment though. It looks like Boone might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#T1# Boone gets to mount! Asakura was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Kai Asakura is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Asakura lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
