Strydom trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Strydom working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Strydom wants to pass the guard but Santiago is keeping the position. Santiago seems keen to control Strydom's posture. Santiago is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. #REVR# Santiago lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Southam throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Butler darts in looking for a takedown but Southam gets double underhooks and turns Butler into the cage. Southam tries to land a knee to the head but Butler blocks with his arms.
Southam throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Butlers head. Southam tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Butler jumps guard but Southam turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. A knee to the head by Southam.
Southam unloads a knee to the mid-section. Southam's coach down at was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Southam's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Southam crunches a lovely knee into Butler's ribcage. Butler fails to pull the fight into his guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Maximo Butler. That's going to take a lot out of him. Southam connects with a nasty looking knee right to Butler's face.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Southam landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.

A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Southam scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Southam leaves Williams with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Williams shoots for a takedown but Southam saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Southam fails in his attempt to clinch. Williams is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Slither might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Slither engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Santiago keeping moving, preventing Slither from controlling successfully. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Slither stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Santiago swivels though and keeps the full guard. Matador looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Woodward misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

and Robertson counters with a nice body shot. Lucas with a lazy takedown attempt and Robertson makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Robertson blocks a jab. Lucas misses with an uppercut
and Robertson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Lucas is breathing heavily. Lucas gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Sanders creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Sanders scores with a shoulder strike. Sanders stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Papa blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Sanders misses with a hook from the clinch. Sanders is pressed up against the cage. Papa has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Sanders down to the mat. Sanders avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. #CL2# Sanders has taken the fight to the clinch.

Papa drops to his knees and Sanders pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
