Molina rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hodge moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Hodge changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Hodge walks straight into a right hand from Molina - that's dropped him! Molina jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Hodge from any more punishment! Hodge complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Hector Molina!
Hector Molina looked relieved post fight as he said the following; 'I feel amazing. I put in the work, stuck to the plan, and got it done. My opponent was tough, but I was prepared. At the end of the day, I cannot afford to lose.'.
Slade Hodge spoke after the fight, saying 'I'm not done here.'.

Tito takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
