We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Rignold slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Waters is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#SUB# Rignold drops back looking for a leg! Waters is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Waters manages to kick Rignold off! Rignold jumps back into Waters's guard. Rignold throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Waters wants to control the position but Rignold says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Waters is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Waters punching from the bottom.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Rignold has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Waters tries to lock up and control but Rignold gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Hickman might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Rignold in particular looking to stall. Hickman trying to control from the bottom.
Hickman could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. The fighters are battling for position here. Hickman manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Rignold won't allow Hickman to sweep him here. #SUB# Hickman escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rignold gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. #SUB# Rignold lying in Hickman's guard like a wet fish here, stalling away. Hickman decides he's had enough of all that nonsense - he escapes his hips and locks up an armbar! and Bhardwaj counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Bhardwaj misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Bhardwaj slips a jab and a cross from Nakamura.
Bhardwaj feinted with a counter takedown. Nakamura throws a body kick that misses. Nakamura tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Bhardwaj feinted with a counter takedown. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bhardwaj tries to score a power double leg takedown but Nakamura sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bhardwaj somewhat.#T1##TD# Bhardwaj bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Nakamura lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Bhardwaj has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Bhardwaj and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Bhardwaj fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Nakamura pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Gerry Watched seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mack checks a leg kick nicely. Mack changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Watched throws a low kick but it's checked well by Mack. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Watched sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Mack fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Watched bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. No luck for Mack with that takedown attempt. Mack blocks a low kick nicely. It looked like Mack wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.#T1# Mack shoots in for a takedown but Watched shows good takedown defense.
