#R1# A telegraphed takedown attempt from Daerji is defended easily by Soibler. Daerji doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Daerji walks into a jab. Soibler misses with a jab, cross combination.
Soibler throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Daerji stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Daerji keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#CL2# Daerji moves into the clinch. Soibler looks to throw an elbow but misses. Soibler working hard to break the clinch. Our sources have told us that Soibler has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight. Soibler drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Daerji gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Daerji takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. The crowd cheers as Soibler lands an impressive looking overhand right. Daerji doesn't seem phased though. Daerji with a poor takedown and Soibler counters with a straight right hand. Daerji tries to land a front kick but Soibler steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Daerji uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Soibler. Daerji takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Soibler lands a right hook to the body.

Daerji shakes it off. Soibler paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Daerji throws the kick towards the body but Soibler avoids it. Daerji takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Soibler is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Soibler throws a series of punches but Daerji moves out of range. Soibler stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Daerji misses with an uppercut. Daerji takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

#R1##TD# Hagmedov feints and as Nelson raises his hands in defense, Hagmedov changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Nelson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hagmedov's guard. #REVB# Hagmedov looking for a sweep. Not yet Hagmedov, not yet. Nelson trying to control the position from guard on top but Hagmedov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Nelson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nelson wants to control from the top but Hagmedov keeps moving. Nelson slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hagmedov is trying to get back to half guard. Nelson advances nicely into full mount. #T1##SUB2# Nelson goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Hagmedov turns into him and now he's in Nelson's guard.

Malxoey fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Li on the side of the head. A telegraphed right hand from Malxoey misses the target. Li dives in for a single leg takedown but Malxoey sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wulong Li. That's going to take a lot out of him.#BC2# Malxoey escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Li attempts a counter takedown but Malxoey avoids it well and moves away. Malxoey might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Malxoey rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
#TD# and Li counters with a nice double leg into half guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Malxoey can do anything to dispel that myth. Li is figuring out what he wants to do next. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Li uses his free foot to push down on Malxoey's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Malxoey. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
