Mikes escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Jerry Mikes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Missel fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Missel shoots in and drives through. Mikes sprawls well. Jerry Mikes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joe Missel. Mikes is trying hard to land a takedown here. Missel sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Mikes tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Missel defends well and Mikes ends up having to push Missel into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Missel goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Mikes is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
And that's the end of the fight! Joe Missel comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Missel has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Soibler accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Soibler has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Missel avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. #SUB2# Missel has a loose triangle.
