#R1# Sandman throws out a loose jab but Maguila uses good head movement to avoid it. Maguila drops down looking for a counter takedown but Sandman sprawls and moves away. Maguila shoots in but Sandman avoids the takedown attempt easily. Maguila uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Sandman.
Maguila moves out of range of the strikes. Maguila keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Sandman. Sandman with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Maguila to score with a decent uppercut.#CL# Sandman tries to keep at a distance but Maguila has taken the fight into the clinch. Sandman lands with a short head shot on the inside. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sandman is pressed up against the cage. Maguila has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Sandman down to the mat. Sandman avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. #CL# Maguila clinches. Maguila really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Sandman lands a left hand that snaps the head of Maguila backwards. Sandman stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.#T1# A short right hand to the side of the head by Sandman. Sandman looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Sandman makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Maguila with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Sandman lands a nice uppercut. Sandman lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Maguila tries for a takedown but Sandman manages to get underhooks.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alex Maguila. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sandman keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Maguila's efforts to push away. Maguila blocks a body shot from Sandman. A body shot lands from Sandman.
Maguila drops down looking for an ankle pick but Sandman pulls his leg out and moves away.
Sandman throws an overhand right that lands on Maguila's shoulder, as Maguila tries to avoid the shot. Sandman throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Maguila counters with a left and a right that stings Sandman. Maguila is breathing heavily. Some bone on bone action there as Sandman checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Maguila slips under a jab. Mr Sandman is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.#T2# No luck with that takedown attempt from Maguila. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Sandman misses with a hook. Maguila ducked under it nicely. Sandman throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Sandman creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. A short right hand to the side of the head by Sandman. Sandman lands a big right hand that drops Maguila! The killer instinct kicks in and Sandman finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Sandman!

Jacobs looking for a sweep. Not yet Jacobs, not yet. #SUB# Jacobs looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Jacobs has a closed guard, preventing Sherishev from standing up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sherishev preventing the sweep. Sherishev trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. #T1# Jacobs trying to control the position.
Sherishev must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
