Jones has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Crimson Crow Combat in the buildup to the fight. Jones throws a jab but it's blocked by Long. Jones walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.#CL2# Long pushes Jones up against the cage in a clinch. Long stalling.
Jones lands a damaging elbow. Jones lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Long lands a good knee to the midsection. Jones won't want to take too many of those. Long is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.#BC# Jones's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Long scores with a jab to the jaw. Jones checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Long moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Long tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Jones cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. We've been informed that Long has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Long connects with a leg kick. Long tried to score with a low kick but Jones checks it.#T2# Jones misses with a looping right. Long ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Long slips a straight right by Jones. Long lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Jones swats away the attempt to clinch by Long. A chopping leg kick lands by Long. Long lands a jab to the head.

Jones takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Long thows a leg kick but Jones checks it and Jones counters with a stiff jab, followed by a cross and an uppercut! That's too much punishment for Long to take - he tumbles to the canvas, blood pouring from his nose, barely conscious. That's the end of the fight! Great knockout by Jones!

The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Rockmuller shoots in for a takedown but Matsuda shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
