letting Oliveira counter with a right hand. Oliveira definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Lyle misses with a left hand and Oliveira cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Lyle looks to land a left hand but Oliveira moved out of range nicely. Oliveira takes a shot right to the bread basket. Lyle misses with a wild combination.

This has been an exciting period of action!#SUB# Oliveira wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Lyle, who protects the arm well. Lyle taking punishment in the form of punches.

He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Lyle has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Oliveira is really squeezing tight and eventually Lyle passes out! Oliveira breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

#R1# A big right from Lyle misses. JR defending well as Lyle loads up on a big left hand. Lyle throws an uppercut from half a mile away. JR sees it coming and avoids it easily. JR tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Lyle misses with a left hand and JR counters with a lovely straight right hand!#CL# JR forces Lyle back against the cage and clinches. Lyle's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. JR has a couple of punches blocked by Lyle.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Lyle creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. JR changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Lyle fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Lyle lands a glancing blow to the side of JR's head. JR has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Grapple in the buildup to the fight.#TD# JR closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. #T1# JR not landing any meaningful shots this time. JR moves nicely into side control. JR grinds an elbow into Lyle's temple. JR cracks Lyle with an elbow. That is naaassty. JR looks up at the clock and then as Lyle takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, JR smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
#SUB# JR has an Americana. Lyle didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! JR is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if JR hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Zeidmanis tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops. Cruz biding his time, looking for the opening.
#T1##T2# The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. It looks like Cruz might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.#T3# The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.#T4# The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Zeidmanis trying to get back to his feet but Cruz is in full control for now. Cruz keeps control of the position easily here as Zeidmanis tries to buck him off.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#T2# The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. We'll restart on the feet.#TD2# Cruz fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Zeidmanis sprawls well initially but Cruz persists and gets the takedown into half guard. #SU2# Cruz stands up out of the half guard. Ero Zeidmanis is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Cruz staying out of range there.#TD2# Cruz fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Zeidmanis to the ground. MacDonald is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Guard pushing out the jab but it's not landing. MacDonald uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Guard. Guard connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed MacDonald momentarily.

and MacDonald counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Guard swings for the body but MacDonald moves out of range.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from MacDonald! But no joy. MacDonald takes one on the chin but seems OK.

The fighters circling - Guard throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Guard misses with a hook. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. That was a close round but I would say that Aura Guard will probably get the nod. and McGintee counters with a low kick, right behind MacDonald 's knee. MacDonald cracks McGintee with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. McGintee scores with a hook to the body. MacDonald takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. MacDonald throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
McGintee scores with a head kick. MacDonald tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Nice body punch from MacDonald. McGintee looks to land a combination but MacDonald avoids it well. #R1# Lyle throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hancock. Hancock ducks under a wild hook from Lyle. Lyle circles away from the clinch attempt and Lyle cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Lyle fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Lyle takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Lyle scores with the left hand. Hancock knows he should have avoided that one. Lyle throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Hancock is looking to clinch. Lyle looks like he wants to counter punch here. Hancock tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Lyle manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. A big left from Lyle misses. Lyle changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Hancock doesn't manage to clinch there - Lyle circles away.

Eli Hancock seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hancock gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Hancock tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Lyle throws a looping overhand right but Hancock ducks down to avoid it. Hancock takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Lyle looks like he wants to counter punch here. A telegraphed right hand from Lyle misses the target. Hancock tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Lyle defends well and Hancock ends up having to push Lyle into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Lyle lands a shoulder strike. A quick uppercut on the inside from Lyle. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Lyle working hard to break the clinch. Lyle digs a right hand into Hancock's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Hancock's gas tank. A bit of stalling here from Lyle.

Lyle is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Lyle keeps the fight on the outside. Lyle has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Lyle connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Hancock momentarily.
Oh Hancock is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Lyle cracks Hancock's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Hancock slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Lyle can do further damage! This one is done, son!
