#R1# Snijders shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Sawyer as he jumps to the side. Snijders throws a left and a right that both miss
and Sawyer counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Snijders thinking. Snijders tries to clinch but Sawyer moves out of range. #CL# Sawyer gets tackled into the cage by Snijders. Snijders maintains the clinch. Snijders drops down looking for an ankle pick but Sawyer pulls his leg out and moves away.
Sawyer cracks Snijders with a right hand to the side of the head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Snijders walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Nice uppercut there from Sawyer. Snijders wants to clinch up but Sawyer keeps it at a distance. Sawyer now looks to counter with a shot at the body.#T1# Snijders throws a head kick but Sawyer moves out of range.
Sawyer lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Snijders closes this distance looking for a takedown but Sawyer circles away. It seemed like Sawyer was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Zep Snijders. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jab, jab by Sawyer - just one landing. Snijders fails in his attempt to clinch. Sawyer stuffs the takedown. Sawyer is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Snijders with a body shot. Yair Sawyer is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Snijders walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Good standup being displayed there by Sawyer as he connects with a hook. Sawyer leaves Snijders with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. A combination from Sawyer does no damage. Sawyer with a body punch. A glancing blow. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sawyer stuffs the takedown. A little jabbing left from Sawyer on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Sawyer is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Snijders had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush. Snijders takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
A shot to the liver by Sawyer. Beautiful body shot. Snijders wants to clinch. Sawyer lands a jab-cross combination. #T3# Snijders tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Snijders throws a leg kick enabling Sawyer to counter with a crisp jab. Snijders tries for a takedown but Sawyer circles away easily and Sawyer counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Snijders darts in trying to clinch and Sawyer counters with a stiff right hand. Snijders misses the body punch and Snijders takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Snijders closes the distance looking to clinch and Sawyer connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.#T4# Snijders tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Sawyer manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Sawyer avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Sawyer connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Snijders momentarily.
Snijders misses with a takedown and Sawyer counters with a stiff right hand. Snijders tries to score a power double leg takedown but Sawyer sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Snijders somewhat. Snijders is breathing heavily. Snijders tries to clinch up. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Yair Sawyer dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!#R2# Snijders looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Snijders takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Sawyer has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Snijders shoots in but no luck this time. Snijders will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Snijders throws a jab when Sawyer was well out of range. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Sawyer. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Sawyer connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Snijders's hands. Snijders looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Snijders tries to clinch but Sawyer moves out of range. Snijders closes the distance looking to clinch and Sawyer counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Zep Snijders seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Snijders on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. #T1# Sawyer ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Snijders throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Snijders moves to clinch but Sawyer breaks away and Sawyer counters with a stiff right hand. Snijders doesn't succeed with the takedown and Sawyer cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Zep Snijders. That's going to take a lot out of him. A low kick from Snijders misses and Sawyer counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Sawyer, as that shot connected.
Sawyer lands a glancing blow to the side of Snijders's head. Snijders tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Snijders is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Sawyer wants it to stay on the feet. Sawyer cracks Snijders with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Snijders tries to close the distance and clinch but Sawyer swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Sawyer lands a jab to Snijders's midsection. Snijders gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Sawyer counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Sawyer punishes Snijders's body with a nice straight punch. Sawyer lands with a good body shot. Snijders tries to land a front kick but Sawyer steps back. Snijders tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Sawyer paws at him with a jab and circles away. Snijders with a lazy takedown attempt and Sawyer counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Sawyer dips to his left and cracks Snijders with an uppercut! Snijders shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Snijders looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sawyer is fending him off so far but Snijders persists. Nope, Sawyer circles away and we're back to standing. Sawyer looks like he wants to counter punch here. Yair Sawyer is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.#T4# Snijders darts in trying to clinch and Sawyer counters with a nice body shot. Sawyer lands with a nice body punch. Sawyer connects with a looping right hand.
No luck for Snijders with that takedown attempt. Sawyer is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Snijders with a body shot. Sawyer slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
And that's the end of the fight! Yair Sawyer comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Sawyer winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Bent smells blood - he's punishing Mpohammed with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Mpohammed has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Van Marken trying to control but Nakamura is working from the bottom. #SUB# Nakamura is looking for a triangle but Van Marken pushes his legs off easily.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Van Marken scores with a decent looking elbow strike.#SUB# Nakamura has his foot on Van Marken's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Van Marken works his way back into a safe position though. Van Marken wants to control from the top but Nakamura keeps moving. Nakamura avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. #T1# Nakamura keeping moving, preventing Van Marken from controlling successfully. Van Marken postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Van Marken trying to stand up but can't free himself from Nakamura's guard. Nakamura looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Van Marken shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nakamura is thwarting Van Marken's attempts to control the position. Van Marken tries to roll over but Nakamura keeps him under control. Nakamura working the head and body with strikes. Van Marken takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Nakamura connects with a nice short shot to Van Marken's temple. Nakamura is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Nakamura trying to control the pace. #T2# The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Van Marken tries to get to full guard but Nakamura has control of the leg. Nakamura perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. #REF3# The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Nakamura trying to control the position from guard on top but Van Marken is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Nakamura is looking to work some ground and pound but Van Marken has wrist control. Nakamura is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Nakamura engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Van Marken is looking to sweep but instead, Nakamura has passed into half guard.

Van Marken wants to stand up but Nakamura is controlling him. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Van Marken holds on and takes a little breather.
