#R1# Maia shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Sutton pinned against the cage. Sutton gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Sutton throws a counter high kick but Maia was just alert enough to avoid it. Maia gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Sutton counters with a straight right hand. Maia takes a swing at Sutton's ribcage but misses. Sutton stalks Maia and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Maia's face. Maia staggers backwards, shaken. A punch lands to the side of Maia 's head but he takes it in his stride. Maia has his takedown stuffed and Maia takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Slade Sutton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bruno Maia. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sutton lands a front kick. Maia swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.#CL2# Maia gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Sutton has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Maia is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Sutton really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Sutton looking for a sweep but Maia has passed into full mount! Oh no! The referee warns Sutton that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Sutton is trying to stand up. Maia pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Maia postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Sutton looks a forlorn figure.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Dragusin. A head punch on the inside from Dragusin fails to land. Dragusin makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Winchester has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Winchester blocks a body shot from Dragusin. Winchester blocks a body shot from Dragusin. Dragusin tries to throw a body punch but Morin avoids it by throwing Dragusin back against the cage. Dragusin looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Morin blocks a punch to the side of the head.

We've been hearing reports that Macallan has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Kimura looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Macallan connects with a crisp jab. #TD# Macallan closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Macallan is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Kimura wants to control but Macallan passes into side.
