That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Merlin Hendricks.

Hendricks feints and as Melendez raises his hands in defense, Hendricks changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Hendricks stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Melendez swivels though and keeps the full guard.
