Shonen wants to improve his position but White is controlling well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. As Shonen tries to get set, White tries to push him back and clinch up but Shonen manages to avoid the attempt. White is really dominating this fight. A lull in the action here as White stalls from top position. Shonen tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but White wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Shonen shoots in looking for a takedown. White tries to sprawl out of it but Shonen keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. White manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. As Shonen looks to move away, White throws a big counter combo but Shonen just gets out of the way. Shonen takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.#T3# Shonen shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as White sprawls well. White wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Shonen gets slowly back to his feet. White cracks Shonen with an open hand slap. Shonen shoots for a takedown but White saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Jack White has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chael Shonen. Shonen has a takedown stuffed. White lands an overhand right.#T4##TD# Shonen gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. White seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. White lands a couple of decent looking shots. White is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Jack White overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.#SU# White gets to his feet. Shonen looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Shonen moves out of range of the leg kick from White. Shonen throws a series of punches but White moves out of range. Chael Shonen has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jack White is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.#CL# White drives through and clinches with Shonen against the cage.
And that's the end of the fight! Jack White showed his dominance in that final round. Well White has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
