#TD# Diaz gets the takedown into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Diaz controlling the position. Diaz wants to control but Man is keeping him busy. Man is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Man throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Man is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Diaz throws a strike but Man avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Man has a closed guard, preventing Diaz from standing up. #T1# Diaz not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Diaz wants to stand and escape but instead Man has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. #REVB# Man really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Diaz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Diaz wants to stand and escape but Man is having none of it. #SUB# Diaz working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Man doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Diaz is tightening it up a little... Man has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Man reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Man taps out! Nice BJJ there by Diaz!

#R1# Melendez stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Melendez wants it to stay on the feet. Melendez stuns Mitchell with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Mitchell shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Melendez defends it nicely. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Mitchell lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Melendez has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Melendez and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Melendez fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Mitchell looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Melendez scores with a jab to the head.
Melendez cracks Mitchell with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.#ROC2#Mitchell is rocked! Mitchell shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Melendez but Melendez pushes him off and we're back to square one. Oh Mitchell is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jaden Mitchell. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mitchell lands a head kick!
Mitchell seems to have got his legs back now. Mitchell misses with a series of wild punches.
Melendez bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Mitchell's head backwards. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Mitchell throws a head kick but Melendez moves out of range.
Melendez steps in with a hook that catches Mitchell right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Melendez follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Mitchell looks absolutely devastated.

#R1# Nickelchenko displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Sinke. Nickelchenko was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind. Sinke swings for the body but Nickelchenko moves out of range.
#TD2# Nickelchenko darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Sinke kicks Nickelchenko off and gets back to his feet. Nice body kick from Sinke.#TD2# Nickelchenko feints and as Sinke raises his hands in defense, Nickelchenko changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Sinke is looking to stand back up but Nickelchenko counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Sinke. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.#REVR# Sinke is staying active underneath Nickelchenko, who seems content to just control the action from this position. #SUB2# Nickelchenko seems to be looking for submissions.
#T1##ES# Sinke manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Nickelchenko keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. The referee is keeping an eye on Nickelchenko - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
#TD2# Nickelchenko gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nickelchenko makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.#ES# Sinke wriggles free and stands up. Nickelchenko lands with a nice body punch. Sinke throws a nice looking combination but Nickelchenko bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Nickelchenko was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The fight stays on the outside here - Sinke looks like he's thinking about clinching though.#T2# Sinke closes the distance and clinches up with Nickelchenko, looking for a takedown. Sinke pushes Nickelchenko against the cage but Nickelchenko circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Sinke swats away the attempt to clinch by Nickelchenko. Sinke tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Nickelchenko defends well and Sinke ends up having to push Nickelchenko into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Maurice Sinke. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sinke tries to pull guard but Nickelchenko won't allow it.
Sinke is breathing heavily. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Nickelchenko has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Sinke is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Sinke misses with a knee strike.

Sinke gets slowly back to his feet. Nickelchenko takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.#TD2# Nickelchenko fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Sinke to the ground. Nickelchenko is now in Sinke's guard. Nickelchenko distracts Sinke with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.#T4# Nickelchenko controls from within his opponent's guard. Nickelchenko tries to free his leg and advance position but Sinke is retaining full guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Nickelchenko controlling from the top position. Nickelchenko is looking to stand up but Sinke won't let him. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!#R2##TD2# Nickelchenko closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Sinke sneaks out the side door and pushes Nickelchenko away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.#TD2# Nickelchenko is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Sinke's half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Nickelchenko stalling away here and it's allowed Sinke to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
