Shaffer takes one on the button.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Shaffer has eaten all the pies!
Shaffer darts in looking for a takedown but Goktepe gets double underhooks and turns Shaffer into the cage.
Nice sprawl there from Goktepe as Shaffer shoots in.#KD#
Goktepe feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Shaffer sprawling to the canvas! Shaffer rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Goktepe finish him?!
Goktepe pounces like a tiger and cracks Shaffer with a vicious hook! Shaffer is down but not out! Goktepe follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Akhmet Goktepe!

White looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Goktepe is fending him off so far but White persists. Nope, Goktepe circles away and we're back to standing.
