#R1##TD2# Smith gets caught flat footed, as Brown shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Smith seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Brown trying to control the position from guard on top but Smith is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Smith is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Brown is looking to stand up but Smith won't let him. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Brown tries to free his leg and advance position but Smith is retaining full guard. Brown is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Smith on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Smith tries to get out of the position. Smith wants to sweep here but Brown controlling him for the moment. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Brown trying to control but Smith is working from the bottom. Smith pulls Brown in to control the position. #REF3# The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.#T1##TD2# Brown throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Smith tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Brown is in Smith's guard.
Smith kicks Brown off and gets to his feet. #TD2# Brown gets a takedown into half guard. Brown is thwarting Smith's attempts to control the position. Brown is looking to take a break and control but Smith is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Brown prevents Smith from improving his position.#T2# Smith works his way to full guard. Good work. Brown preventing the sweep. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Brown pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Smith is keeping the position for now. Smith is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. #SUB# Smith looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Brown has picked Smith up and slammed him! Smith can't keep hold of the triangle and Brown manages to pass to side control! Smith tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Brown wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Smith regains half guard. Smith preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. #T3# Brown throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Smith trying to control from the bottom.
Smith makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Smith.#SUB# Smith has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Brown can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Smith has his hands on Brown's head, controlling the position. #T4# Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.#SUB# Smith has his foot on Brown's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Brown works his way back into a safe position though. Smith has control of Brown's left arm, preventing Brown from doing any damage. #SUB# Smith is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Brown not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Brown looking to sit in guard and control but Smith gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. #REVR# And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Brayden Smith dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!#R2##CL2# Brown forces Smith back against the cage and clinches. Smith drops down looking for an ankle pick but Brown pulls his leg out and moves away.
#CL2# Brown rushes Smith and presses him up against the cage.#TD# Smith has clasped his hands together around Brown's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Smith wants to lay and pray for a moment but Brown keeps working. Smith advances to full mount. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Brown really wants to buck Smith off and get back to his feet. Smith controlling the pace for now. #T1##SUB# Smith goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Brown is on top in guard.
Brown advances to half guard. Smith has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Brown is working away from the top position though. Smith is refusing to be controlled, as Brown sits in half guard. Smith is controlling Brown's trapped leg to prevent Brown from advancing to side control. Smith wants to get back to full guard but Brown has mounted him!#T2# Smith working to try and regain half guard.
Brown really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Smith. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Smith wants to hold on but Brown pushes him away. Brown looking to control and managing it successfully. Smith regains half guard. Brown wants to advance to full mount but Smith doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. #T3# Brown postures up in Smith's guard and throws a big left but Smith blocks it. Smith pulls Brown in to control the position. #SUB# Brown avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Smith lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.#REVR# Smith trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. #T4# Brown is looking to stand up but Smith isn't so interested in that idea. Brown can't keep his opponent in guard - Smith advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Smith performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Smith not landing any meaningful shots this time. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! The referee calls for the fighters to work.

That was a close second round but I would say that Brayden Smith will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!#R3##TD# Smith shoots in and gets a takedown into Brown's guard. Smith trying to control the position from guard on top but Brown is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Smith is really struggling to control Brown but he's trying to hold on to the position. Brayden Smith overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Smith stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Brown swivels though and keeps the full guard. Brown is trying to keep Smith in close.

Come on Brown, up you get! Left hook, right uppercut from Brown. Smith rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Brown moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Brown lands with a slapping head kick. #CL2# Brown clinches with his opponent.
#BC# Smith's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Brown stuffs the takedown attempt from Smith. Smith gets slowly back to his feet. Brown tries to counter by closing the distance.#TD# Smith gets a takedown into half guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily.#SUB# Smith seems to be looking for submissions.
#T2# Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Smith slows the pace down in half guard. Brown is looking to escape. Smith wants to take a breather but Brown is having none of it. Brown trying to hold on to Smith's head to control him but Smith postures up.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
#T3# Ground and pound from Smith. Brown is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Smith scores with a couple of nice shots. Brown is trying to control but can't.
Smith missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Smith seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Brown is pressing down on Smith's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.#T4# Smith pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Brown is keeping the position for now. Smith controls from within his opponent's guard. Smith is working Brown over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Smith is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Smith wants to pass the guard but Brown is keeping the position.#REF3# The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Nate Brown has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Brayden Smith is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.#TD# Smith feints and as Brown raises his hands in defense, Smith changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Brayden Smith showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Smith, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
