Jar uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Yurchon Jr.
Yurchon Jr connects with a good right hand that stumbles Jar. Jar circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Jar moves away from the strike by Yurchon Jr. Jar drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Yurchon Jr defends it well. Yurchon Jr lands a jab to the head.
Yurchon Jr thows a left - swing and a miss! James Yurchon Jr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Yurchon Jr misses with a looping right. Jar misses with a few strikes there.

Yurchon Jr manages to get full guard. Yurchon Jr on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Yurchon Jr tries to get out of the position. Jar stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Yurchon Jr swivels though and keeps the full guard. Jar controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Yurchon Jr keeping moving, preventing Jar from controlling successfully. Jar slips nicely into half guard. Jar looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. #T2# Jar landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. #SUB2# Jar maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. #TD2# Banoodles ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Banoodles no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Topan wants to get up but he can't break Banoodles's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Topan wants to control from the top but Banoodles keeps moving. Topan not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Banoodles is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Topan tries to free his leg and advance position but Banoodles is retaining full guard. Banoodles pulls Topan in to control the position. #T1# Topan trying to control but Banoodles is working from the bottom. #REF3# The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Topan tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Banoodles defends well and Topan ends up having to push Banoodles into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Topan moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromBanoodles.#BC# Topan pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.#CL# Topan drives through and clinches with Banoodles against the cage.

Topan wants to stand but Banoodles is controlling the position. Banoodles controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Banoodles really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Topan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Banoodles postures up.
Topan wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. #T2# Topan manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Banoodles manages to get himself to full guard.

Topan shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Banoodles but Banoodles pushes him off and we're back to square one.#TD# Topan closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Banoodles did well to prevent Topan getting side control. Banoodles desperately trying to maintain half guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Topan lands a shot to the body. #SUB# Banoodles is squirming around looking to escape but he's just wriggling himself into more trouble. Topan sinks in the hooks and manages to tighten his grip on a rear naked choke. Banoodles has no choice but to tap and Topan jumps to his feet to celebrate and slick submission win!
