Peters misses with an elbow over the top.#BC2# Quipao's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Quipao shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Peters as he avoids it easily. Peters throws a wild body kick that Quipao sees coming a mile off. Quipao takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Peters throws a body punch but Quipao moves out of range. Peters tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Peters throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Quipao stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Quipao fails in his attempt to clinch. Quipao fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Peters avoids it really well and circles away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Peters scores with a punch to the head. Peters on the wrong end of a nice hook. Conor Peters seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Quipao steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Peters. That one must have hurt. This has been an exciting period of action! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Jab from Peters. Peters tries to clinch up but Quipao circles away and keeps his distance. Peters throws a nice looking combination but Quipao bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Quipao shoots in for a double leg but Peters sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Quipao moves forwards but Peters connects with a nice, crisp jab. Quipao keeps the fight on the outside. Peters moves into range and connects with a jab. Quipao fails with a takedown attempt.
And that's the end of the fight! Conor Peters showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Peters, winning every round. Will the judges agree? He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. #REVB# My spies in KO MMA inform me that Mauricio has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! Mauricio wants to free his trapped foot but Nut is holding on for dear life with his legs. Mauricio is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Nut is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Mauricio passes to side control. Nut tries to get back to half guard but can't. Mauricio advances to full mount. #T1# Mauricio forces the positional change into back control. Nut is trying to get back to his feet but Mauricio has full control of the position and if anything, Nut has just worked his way into a worse spot.#SUB2# Mauricio working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke.
