Shannon displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Mendoza. Shannon throwing a counter right hand but Mendoza manages to avoid it.#TD# Shannon shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Shannon passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Mendoza! Shannon has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Mendoza's face.

#R1# Faulkner throws a head kick that misses #TD# and Bear counters with a single leg into guard. Faulkner didn't expect that. Faulkner really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bear. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Bear postures up and lands a big shot to Faulkner's brow. Faulkner is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Bear is controlling him. Bear landing some decent shots from guard. Faulkner is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Bear working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Faulkner's head. Bear works a leg free and moves into half guard. Faulkner taking some punishment here, with Bear in his half guard. Bear working over Faulkner with some ground and pound. Faulkner looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Bear passes to full mount! Bear cracks Faulkner with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Bear postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Faulkner bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Bear and the fight is over!

Nice takedown defense from Mcpherson. No joy for Cela on that attempt. #TD# Cela drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.#SUB# Cela thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cela throws a big right hand that misses. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cela accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. #SUB2# Mcpherson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cela doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Cela manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Cela loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Mcpherson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cela. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cela is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Cela stopping the sweep attempt from Mcpherson. Cela landing with the ground and pound. Mcpherson wants to stand but Cela is controlling the position. Cela distracts Mcpherson with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mcpherson can do anything to dispel that myth. Cela lands a couple of decent looking shots.#ROC#Mcpherson is rocked! Hammerfist, elbow! yells Cela's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Mcpherson is still in real trouble! Can Cela finish him? Cela loads up on a big left hand. Mcpherson felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Cela looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Mcpherson can't hide his disappointment, as Cela celebrates the victory.

#CUT#It looks like Jorge Wemby has been cut.#TD2# Wemby throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Hammond tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Wemby is in Hammond's guard. Wemby is standing up over Hammond. Hammond looks to escape but Wemby dives into side control.
#REVR##SUB2# Wemby tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Wemby has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Wemby just content to control the position. Wemby scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Hammond to see if he's OK.#SUB2# Wemby has hold of Hammond's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Hammond tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Wemby cranks the arm and Hammond screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Hammond, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
