Bonaparte walks into a jab. Abashidze misses with a takedown attempt and Bonaparte counters with a left to the body. A decent looking body kick lands there for Bonaparte. Abashidze looks winded! Bonaparte lands a lovely overhand right. Bonaparte scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. A slapping body kick lands there for Bonaparte. Bonaparte connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Bonaparte thuds his shin into the meat of Abashidze's side.#T1##KD# Bonaparte lands a big head kick that sends Abashidze tumbling to the mat! Bonaparte takes a step backwards and waves Abashidze back to his feet - he wants the finish!#CUT#It looks like Lasha Abashidze has been cut. Bonaparte scores with a kick to the midsection. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Abashidze has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Abashidze avoids the head kick by Bonaparte.
#KD# Bonaparte feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Abashidze sprawling to the canvas! Abashidze rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Bonaparte finish him?!
#ROC#Abashidze is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Abashidze gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Bonaparte counters with a huge right that knocks Abashidze out cold! Bonaparte is running around with a crazed look on his face - you can see how much that meant to him!

#R1# Nice defenses there by Bogachev. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Bogachev lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Wayne has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Wayne and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Bogachev throws a body kick that misses. Wayne was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Bogachev fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. A telegraphed right hand from Bogachev misses the target. Bogachev swings away with a leg kick that misses. Wayne throws a right hand that Bogachev ducks under and follows up with a left that Bogachev also avoids with ease. Bogachev slips a straight right by Wayne. Bogachev avoids a punch combination nicely.
Wayne looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wayne scores with a nice right hand.

Wayne had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush. Wayne moves out of range of the strikes. Kovingten has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Kovingten misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Kovingten displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Kovingten moves away from the strike by Yalixqua. Yalixqua looks to land a left hand but Kovingten moved out of range nicely. A jab from Yalixqua finds it's way through Kovingten's defenses. Kovingten throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. We've been informed that Yalixqua has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Kovingten misses with an attempted mid kick.

Kovingten ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Yalixqua takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Kovingten stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Yalixqua. Kovingten lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Yalixqua works the jab nicely. Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with each other but Yalixqua might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Kovingten has got the better of the exchanges. Yalixqua throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Kovingten is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Yalixqua will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Owens misses with a hook. Fish ducked under it nicely. Owens misses with an uppercut. Fish saw that one coming. Owens takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet. Kaspersky missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Owens preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Kaspersky wants to control from the top but Owens keeps moving. Kaspersky postures up and lands a big shot to Owens's brow. Kaspersky has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kaspersky looking to sit in guard and control but Owens gets the butterfly guard and sweeps.
