That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Hekkala misses with a hook. Cunningham stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Hekkala. Hekkala ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Cunningham moves away. Hekkala takes a shot right to the bread basket. Cunningham dodges the punch combination from Hekkala.

Cunningham works his way back into a safe position though. Hekkala is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Cunningham content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Hekkala has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Cunningham has passed into side control.

That will dishearten Vinkovic somewhat. Mighty Marin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hrvoje Vinkovic. Vinkovic bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Vinkovic misses with a left hand and Marin counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Vinkovic shoots in for a takedown. Kulmunki working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Temple. Temple throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Kulmunki wants to stand up but Temple is controlling him. Temple works a leg free and moves into half guard. Temple fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Kulmunki looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Temple takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Temple stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Kulmunki is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Temple. Temple changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. A low kick from Kulmunki misses #TD2# and Temple counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. #T9# Temple prevents Kulmunki from standing back up.

Kulmunki pushes Temple off but Temple dives into side control.
Temple wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kulmunki keeps working. Kulmunki pushes Temple away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Temple gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Kulmunki is not content to let Temple control the position. Kulmunki is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kenzo Kulmunki. I think Kulmunki has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

We've been hearing reports that Savisto has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Savisto avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Blank lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Savisto circles away quickly and effectively. Blank waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Savisto. Blank moves out of range of the strikes. Savisto throws the left hand but Blank avoids the punch easily. Blank wants to counter with a clinch but Savisto pushes him away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Savisto is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Blank doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Savisto uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Blank.
