Serengeti lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Serengeti throws out a powerful jab. Lawler throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Serengeti counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Nice shot by Serengeti. Lawler moves forwards but Serengeti connects with a nice, crisp jab. Serengeti throws a body shot but no joy. Serengeti lands an overhand right. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Nice jab there from Serengeti. Lawler has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. and Harper counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.#CUT2# It looks like Killy Monjaros has been cut. Harper looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Good shot there by Harper. Monjaros swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Monjaros moves out of range as Harper strikes. Monjaros displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Harper throws out the jab. Monjaros throwing a counter right hand but Harper manages to avoid it. Harper throws the left hand but Monjaros avoids the punch easily. Monjaros avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Harper ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Harper moves out of range as Monjaros strikes. Harper throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Monjaros stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Monjaros is breathing heavily.#CL2# The fight moves into the clinch position. and Covert counters with a right hand to the body. Covert keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Petruzzelli. Covert looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Petruzzelli dodges the punch combination from Covert.
Covert has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Covert throws a chopping leg kick but Petruzzelli manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Petruzzelli is looking to counter the offense by Covert and move into the clinch. Petruzzelli looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Petruzzelli misses with a two punch combination.
Durante Alinari Petruzzelli seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Covert looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

That's going to take a lot out of Jimbo Covert. Petruzzelli swings wildly with an uppercut but Covert uses good head movement to avoid it. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Petruzzelli has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Covert is proving hard to escape from. #SUB2# Covert is looking to cinch up a triangle. Petruzzelli throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Covert's body to avoid the submission. Covert has instead reached around Petruzzelli's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Covert arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Eric looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. #CUT# It looks like Weird Eric has been cut. Dai could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Dai connects with a single shot there. Dai missing with a left hand there. Eric was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. A jab lands there for Dai. Eric blocks a jab. Dai throws a hook to the side of Eric's head but Eric sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Eric unleashes a big counter combination but Dai bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Dai ducks under a wild hook from Eric. Dai cracks Eric with a good jab. A slow jab from Dai misses its intended target. Eric takes one to the chin there. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Dai scores with a nice strike. A cross from Dai lands.
