Newcastle displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Pietrzak.

Newcastle is working to tighten his grip on Pietrzak's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Pietrzak has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Newcastle is really squeezing tight and eventually Pietrzak passes out! Newcastle breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Mirowski can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!

Margera goes for a double leg but Laskowski avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Laskowski continues to drive forward.
Laskowski takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Margera shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Margera throws a right hand that Laskowski ducks under and follows up with a left that Laskowski also avoids with ease.

and Margera counters with a nice body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Laskowski lands a leg kick that knocks Margera off balance momentarily.
