We've been told by Traumen's head coaches at Champion Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Traumen uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Santos.
Santos is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Santos throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Santos has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Hideo Tokoro.
