We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Hanson has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Akutagawa lands with a hook. Hanson tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. A low kick from Akutagawa misses #TD2# and Hanson counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Akutagawa blocking the ground and pound attempt from Hanson. #SUB2# Hanson is working for a submission of some sort.

Akutagawa throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Hanson dodges the punch combination from Akutagawa.

He's got his arms around Akutagawa's waist but Akutagawa gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hanson off to one side. Akutagawa feints with a jab and clips Hanson right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Hanson is sent crashing into the canvas and Akutagawa leaps in for the kill! Hanson tries to get to his feet but Akutagawa is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Hanson is in need of a savior and steps in!

Stridh throws a fast counter high kick but King manages to duck under it in time. Stridh darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Stridh blocks a head kick by King.

No joy there for King, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

It looked like King wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Stridh throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
King swings away with a leg kick that misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Stridh throws an uppercut from half a mile away. King sees it coming and avoids it easily.#CL2# Stridh clinches up with King and pushes him back against the cage. Stridh pushes King back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.#ROC2#King is rocked! Stridh lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of King backwards. Oh King is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Stridh creates a bit of space for himself and rocks King with a big uppercut! King tries to clinch up but Stridh pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples King to the mat! King covers up and Stridh unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Murray scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Murray lands with a good body shot. Murray avoids the head kick by Outlaw Ii.
Murray seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Murray takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Murray uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Outlaw Ii. Murray is looking to counter punch. Outlaw Ii connects with a solid leg kick. Murray lands with a hook. Northrop manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. I was talking to Northrop's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. A short left from Northrop. #T1# Mjölnir blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

The referee has started the count straight away and we're up to 5 already. Mjölnir get to one knee - can he make it back to his feet? Yes, he's struggled back up to his feet and seems OK to continue. The referee agrees so we're back to the action! Mjölnir is still on wobbly legs! Can Northrop finish him? Northrop connects with a picture perfect right hand that knocks Mjölnir out cold! This one is over in a flash!

Gunner tries to land a front kick but Sturmovik Two steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sturmovik Two fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Sturmovik Two creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Gunner's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! This has been an exciting period of action! Sturmovik Two working some nice short punches in the clinch.#ROC#Gunner is rocked! Gunner told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight. Sturmovik Two throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Gunners head. Gunner is still on wobbly legs! Can Sturmovik Two finish him? Sturmovik Two lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Gunner to his knees! Sturmovik Two keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!

Not much technique there but it did the business. Kendo Yakuza seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gomes takes one on the button. Alvarez jabs at Gomes's body. Gomes on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Gomes fails with the takedown and Alvarez counters with a nice uppercut. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ronaldo Gomes. That's going to take a lot out of him. Gomes swings widly with a right hand
