A very excited looking Jefferson Talbot rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.

Roger Haitu decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.

Cox shoots in for a double leg but Jackson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
A head kick by Cox misses
and Jackson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Cox changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jackson tries to avoid it but Cox manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jackson to the ground. Jackson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. #TD#

Fred Jackson decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.

A combination from Haitu does no damage.
Haitu swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Fawkes counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Haitu lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Sloppy strikes from Haitu. Those never looked like landing.
No joy there for Haitu, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Fawkes throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

letting Fawkes counter with a right hand.
Haitu on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Haitu rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Fawkes moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Haitu misses with a few strikes there.
Fawkes thinks about the counter body kick.
Haitu takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Fawkes cracks Haitu with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Haitu tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Fawkes pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Haitu is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes).
