and Herpes finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Herpes has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Mighty MMA in the buildup to the fight. Seigel throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Herpes throws a counter high kick but Seigel was just alert enough to avoid it. Seigel throws a big shot that misses. It looked like Herpes was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Seigel misses with a body kick. #T1##KD2# Seigel lands a big uppercut and Herpes crumbles to the floor! Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Herpes staying out of range there. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. #R1# Tucker rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Wheeler moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Tucker misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A little jabbing left from Wheeler on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Tucker lands with a slapping head kick. #CUT#It looks like Rylan Wheeler has been cut. Wheeler tries to bum rush Tucker with a series of wild strikes but Tucker uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Wheeler swings for the body but Tucker moves out of range.

Wheeler drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Karim swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Wheeler's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!

Pena looks like he wants to counter punch here. Pena displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Hunter throws out the jab. A nice side step and Pena releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Hunter looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Hunter slips a straight right by Pena. Pena lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hunter circles away quickly and effectively. A low kick from Hunter misses and Pena counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. #CUT2#It looks like Chad Hunter has been cut. Hunter has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Hunter buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Hunter is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Pena really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hunter. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Pena wants to get back to his feet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hunter working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Pena wants to get back to his feet. Hunter working the head and body with strikes. We've been informed that Pena has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Pena can do anything to dispel that myth. Pena wants to get back to his feet.

#R1##TD# Barboza closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Herpes's guard. Barboza wants to control from the top but Herpes keeps moving. Herpes is trying to control the position but Barboza postures up. Barboza throws a big elbow that misses. Barboza has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Barboza sitting in guard, not really doing much. Herpes is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Herpes is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Barboza throwing strikes but missing. #REF3# The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.#T1##TD# Barboza feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Herpes can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Barboza controls the pace. Barboza has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Herpes is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Barboza preventing the sweep. #T2# Barboza is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Barboza wants to pass the guard but Herpes is keeping the position. Herpes trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Barboza won't allow Herpes to get back to his feet. #REF3# The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Herpes ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.#TD# Herpes gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Barboza to score an easy takedown into full guard. Herpes has Barboza pulled in close to control his posture. #T3# Barboza tries to free his leg and advance position but Herpes is retaining full guard. Barboza won't allow Herpes to get back to his feet. Barboza trying to control the position from guard on top but Herpes is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Barboza content to stall in guard here. #SUB# Barboza has gone for a leg lock! Herpes slips out almost immediately though and dives into Barboza's guard.#REVB##T4# There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Barboza keeping moving, preventing Herpes from controlling successfully. Herpes passes Barboza's left leg - he's now in half guard. Herpes moves into full mount! Barboza won't be happy about that! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Barboza wants to control but Herpes is having none of it. Herpes controlling the position easily from mount. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Bento Barboza will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.#R2##CL# Barboza rushes Herpes and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.#BC# Barboza escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
#TD# Barboza changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Herpes looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Herpes tries to bench press Barboza off him but Barboza keeps the position. Barboza working away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Herpes regains half guard. Barboza thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Herpes slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.#T1# Herpes trying to control the position.

Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Barboza tries to land knees in the clinch but Herpes avoids the damage to the body. Herpes tries to keep control of the position but Barboza is staying busy. Herpes might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Barboza haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Herpes moves to take his opponent's back. Barboza rolls, trying to escape but Herpes keeps control of the position.
Herpes controls the position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Will Herpes go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?

A lazy left from Frank finds it's target. Catawanee does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Frank drops his hands momentarily and Catawanee takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Frank fails with the takedown letting Catawanee counter with a right hand. Catawanee misses with a hook

#R1# Hunter throws a head kick that misses. And Bates responds with a good body kick, but Hunter manages to step out the way in time. Hunter moves out of range of the body kick. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Hunter!
#CL2# Bates moves into the clinch. Hunter has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. A nice right hand lands inside from Hunter. #BC2# Bates breaks the clinch.
