Deathgrip half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Deathgrip has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Pants finds it's way round the side to connect with Deathgrip's head. #TD# Deathgrip closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Deathgrip advances to mount. Deathgrip thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
#SUB# Deathgrip is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Pants has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Pants! Pants is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Pants won't allow Deathgrip to sweep him here. Deathgrip lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.#REVR# This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! #TD2# and Deathgrip decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Potter's guard. Deathgrip is pushing down on Potter's leg trying to pass to half guard. Potter is fighting to maintain full guard but Deathgrip has managed to sneak the leg through.#SUB2# Deathgrip is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Potter doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Deathgrip. Deathgrip scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Deathgrip not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Deathgrip has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Deathgrip moves nicely into side control. Potter really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Potter is working to avoid the ground and pound but Deathgrip connects with a decent elbow. #SUB2# Deathgrip has hold of Potter's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Potter seems comfortable defending it but Deathgrip has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Potter is real pain and he's forced to tap out! #CL2# Nicomedez tries to keep at a distance but Deathgrip has taken the fight into the clinch. Deathgrip working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Nicomedez really is a fat lump. Deathgrip keeps control of Nicomedez as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. #BC2# Deathgrip breaks from the clinch.
Deathgrip stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Deathgrip wants it to stay on the feet. Nicomedez shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Deathgrip as he avoids it easily. No luck for Nicomedez with that takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jonel Nicomedez. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nicomedez shoots in for a takedown but Deathgrip shows good takedown defense. No joy there for Deathgrip, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

That sent Glass stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Grey with a poor takedown #CL2# and Deathgrip holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Grey is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Deathgrip to keep the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Grey. That's going to take a lot out of him.#BC2# Deathgrip breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
#CL2# Deathgrip clinches. Deathgrip lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Grey jumps guard but Deathgrip stands there with Grey around his waist. Grey gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
#BC2# Deathgrip pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Deathgrip connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Deathgrip trying to control the position but Fed is working away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fed prevents Deathgrip from moving into mount. Deathgrip looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Fed with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Deathgrip is controlling the pace.
