Benoit pushes down on Hicks's head and hops out. Hicks scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Benoit doesn't seem bothered though. Hicks throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Benoit doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Nice defenses there by Hicks. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hicks lands a jab.#TD2# Hicks shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Hicks was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Benoit pushes Hicks away and creates a bit of space to escape. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Osiris takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Carter digs a good body shot into Osiris's ribs.
