As Kapuan looks to move away, Taco throws a big counter combo but Kapuan just gets out of the way. Nice takedown defense from Kapuan. No joy for Taco on that attempt. Kapuan tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Kapuan checks a leg kick. Kapuan tries a head kick but it misses.

Kapuan throws a body kick that misses and Holiday counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts Kapuan off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Holiday follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Kapuan was out before he hit the floor.

As Marcos backs away, Gonsauvi returns fire with a leg kick that just misses. Marcos tries to clinch but Gonsauvi moves out of range. Marcos tries to clinch up but Gonsauvi circles away and keeps his distance. A little feinted left hand from Gonsauvi on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Jab, jab by Marcos - just one landing. Tino Marcos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Marcos is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Gonsauvi was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Kimura walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Bison with a jab.#TD2# Excellent takedown into side control there by Kimura. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. The crowd are loving this. Great action here.#SUB2# Kimura tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. #SUB2# Kimura looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Kimura trying to control the action but Bison is working from the bottom. #SUB2# Kimura wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Bison, who protects the arm well. #T1##SUB2# Kimura is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Bison is trying to escape and Kimura transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Bison is forced to tap! Nice work there by Kimura! Very nice indeed!

#R1# Sim pushing out the jab but it's not landing. #CL2# Benson tries to keep at a distance but Sim has taken the fight into the clinch.#BC# Benson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Benson moves out of range of the strikes.#CL# Benson rushes Sim and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Benson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Sim walks away with a smile on his face. Benson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Sim waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Benson. Benson wants to clinch#KD2# and Sim counters with a crisp one two that drops Benson! Sim thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Benson to his feet! Benson is in big trouble! Sim tests Benson's chin there with a solid looking shot. Benson throws a series of punches but Sim avoids them all with ease. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.#CL# Benson clinches. #T1# Sim lands a shot to the body. Sim works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Sim displaying some good clinch control by pressing Benson up against the cage. The crowd are getting on Sim's back here. Benson shoots and misses and Sim counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Randall Benson. That's going to take a lot out of him. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Sim defends it well. This has been an exciting period of action! Benson keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Benson wants to pass the guard but Sim is defending well. Well, if Benson is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!#CUT2# It looks like Randy Ruiz has been cut.#CL2# Sim pushes Ruiz up against the cage in a clinch. Sim scores with a hook to the body. Ruiz is breathing heavily.#BC2# Sim breaks the clinch.
This has been an exciting period of action! Ruiz bobbing and weaving nicely... He's ducked under a jab and ducks again but ooooooh! Sim comes at him with an uppercut from hell! Ruiz falls to the canvas, unconscious! This one is all over! Oh man, looking at the replay that was right on the button! Ruiz was out before he hit the floor!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Li Sim! In his post fight interview, Li Sim started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.

Daciolo wants to clinch up but Toin keeps it at a distance. Toin looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Toin ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. No joy there for Daciolo, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Toin swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Daciolo uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Toin.

Boryska crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Pais - the referee stops the clock and Boryska gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Pais. Boryska manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Pais showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Boryska.

#R1# Space fails with a takedown attempt. It looked like Halloo was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Horrible takedown attempt by Space or perhaps it was just good defense by Halloo, which made it look bad. #TD# Halloo shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB2# Halloo has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Space to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Halloo is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Space pulls down on the head and he's put Halloo to sleep! This one is all over!

#R1# Hill walks into a stiff left hand from Essando. Essando jabs Hill to the body, keeping him at a distance. Hill on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Essando. Essando obviously looking to wear him down.
#TD2# Hill decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hill slows the pace down in half guard. Hill winds up and cracks Essando with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Essando is trying to control but can't.
Hill looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Essando with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Hill connects with a nice short shot to Essando's temple. #ROC2# Essando is rocked!#CUT2# It looks like Recom Essando has been cut. Hill scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Oh Essando is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Hill lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Essando quite badly. Essando pulls Hill in close trying to recover. Hill postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Essando on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Essando doesn't seem to be complaining too much.

Negum on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. #KD2# Rico sends Negum crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Rico is motioning to the referee to let Negum up. Oh Negum is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Rico fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Negum seems to have got his legs back now. Negum takes one on the chin but seems OK.
A big right followed by a crushing left from Rico knocks Negum out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!
