Hill tries to move into range but Smith moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Smith connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Mark Hill seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Good shot there by Smith.#CL2# Smith rushes Hill and presses him up against the cage. Smith leaning against his opponent.
Smith lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. A quick uppercut on the inside from Smith. Hill working hard to break the clinch.#BC2# Smith breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Hill keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Smith. An attempted straight right counter from Hill misses the target.#TD# Hill throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Smith tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Hill is in Smith's guard.#ES2# Smith has his feet on Hill's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A looping hook to the body misses from Hill. Smith does a little dance to reset his feet. Smith fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Hill on the side of the head.#CL2# Smith rushes Hill and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Smith stops a takedown attempt from Hill.
Smith comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Smith. #T1# Smith lands a nice elbow from the clinch. #CUT2# Mark Hill's cut is getting worse. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Hill. Smith prevents Hill from breaking the clinch. Smith is pushing Hill up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Hill takes an elbow to the forehead. #CUT2# Mark Hill's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Smith. Smith lands a nice elbow. #CUT2# Jeez, Mark Hill's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

A very excited looking Aaron Smith made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.

#R1# Kowalski dives in for a single leg takedown but King sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Kowalski moves out of range of the strikes. King with a poor takedown and Kowalski counters with a two punch combo. King misses with a hook. Kowalski misses with a two punch combination.
King fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Kowalski's coach down at BAK training was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Kowalski's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Kowalski shoots in but no luck this time. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kowalski works the jab nicely.#CUT2# It looks like Dexter King has been cut. King has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Kowalski connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent King tumbling to the canvas! Kowalski pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! King was done - good stoppage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Shawn Kowalski! Shawn Kowalski decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well. In defeat, Dexter King stepped up to the mic, saying 'No one can Defeat me cuZ "I DONT GIVE UP"'.

#R1# Wu throws a big shot that misses. Wu swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Wu lands with a nice combination. Haynes backs away looking to recover. Wu with a body punch. A glancing blow. Wu lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Haynes circles away quickly and effectively. Haynes changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Haynes throws a body kick that misses. #CL2# Wu tries to keep at a distance but Haynes has taken the fight into the clinch. Haynes tries to pull guard but Wu forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Wu letting Haynes take a breather here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Haynes with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

and Wu counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Haynes thinking. Haynes shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Wu defends it nicely. Zhang Wu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Billy Haynes. Wu stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Wu swats away the attempt to clinch by Haynes.#T2# Haynes tries to clinch but Wu is having none of it. Good shot there by Wu. Haynes moves to clinch but Wu breaks away and Wu counters with a lovely straight right hand!#CUT# It looks like Billy Haynes has been cut. Wu lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Wu connects with a body shot that sends Haynes's belly button to the back. Haynes tries to clinch but fails miserably and Wu counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. This has been an exciting period of action! Haynes misses with a leg kick and Wu counters with a three punch combo that has Haynes backing up. Haynes nods at Wu to acknowledge the strikes.#ROC# Haynes is rocked! Zhang Wu is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Wu lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Haynes falls backwards - clearly groggy! Wu dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!

Vecellio follows him to the mat into side control. #ROC2# Hill is rocked!#T1##SU2# Vecellio decides to stand up, so the ref orders Hill to his feet. A nice inside leg kick there by Vecellio. That's going to slow Hill down. Hill with a lazy takedown attempt and Vecellio counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Hill is breathing heavily. Hill misses with a left hand and Vecellio counters with a lovely shot to the body. Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Vecellio throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Hill is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!

Mercado looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Shawn Kowalski has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Trinidad Mercado. Mercado throws a front kick aimed at Kowalski's knee but Kowalski avoids it well. #TD2# Mercado gets a takedown into half guard.
