Whack! Murphy lands a heavy head kick that drops Macho. The ref tackles Murphy to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Macho was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Tycen Murphy!
A very excited looking Tycen Murphy made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction. |

Maeda is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Macho.
Maeda shoots in looking for a takedown. Macho tries to sprawl out of it but Maeda keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Macho manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Macho misses with a double jab.
Maeda dodges the punch combination from Macho.

Macho connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Maeda tumbling to the canvas! Macho pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Maeda was done - good stoppage!

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Macho.
Macho looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Macho throws a series of punches but Sicheng moves out of range.

The fight stays on the outside here - Sicheng looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

St Pierre shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Macho sprawls well. Macho wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. St Pierre gets slowly back to his feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
