A slow jab from Hardy misses its intended target. Hardy ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Hardy throws the left hand but Shakespeare avoids the punch easily. Hardy throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Shakespeare. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. #R1# Hageman shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Hageman tries to grapple but his opponent circles #TD# and Tarlah counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Tarlah. Tarlah lands a couple of decent looking shots. Tarlah cracks Hageman with a solid left hand. Tarlah landing some decent shots from guard. Tarlah postures up and lands a big shot to Hageman's brow. Tarlah with a nice head shot there. Tarlah lands a couple of elbows. Tarlah cracks Hageman with a solid left hand. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Tarlah connects with a couple of short punches.#ROC#Hageman is rocked! Tarlah is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Hageman is still in real trouble! Can Tarlah finish him? Tarlah makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Tarlah working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Hageman's head. Hageman looks winded! Tarlah loads up on a big left hand. Hageman felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Tarlah looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Hageman can't hide his disappointment, as Tarlah celebrates the victory.

and Vieira connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Kovacs throws an off balance right hand
#CL# and Vieira counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Vieira. Vieira keeps control of Kovacs as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. #TD# Vieira jumps guard and drags Kovacs to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Kovacs tries to stand but Vieira is controlling from the bottom. Vieira trying to keep a closed guard but Kovacs is proving a slippery customer.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kovacs would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Vieira holds on and takes a little breather. #T1##SUB# Vieira is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kovacs is aware though and is defending well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kovacs wants to stand but Vieira has a closed guard, so he can't escape. #SUB# Vieira working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kovacs doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Vieira is tightening it up a little... Kovacs has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Kovacs reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Kovacs taps out! Nice BJJ there by Vieira!

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Hardy has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.#TD# Mantzurin pulls Hardy into guard.

Hardy swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Mantzurin.#CUT2#It looks like Monni Mantzurin has been cut. Hardy displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Mantzurin. Hardy swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Mantzurin with a poor takedown and Hardy counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Monni Mantzurin. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hardy tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Mantzurin was well out of range. Poor timing from Hardy. Will he be able to recover?!! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Mantzurin shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hardy as he jumps to the side. Hardy feints a jab promting Mantzurin to slip. Hardy then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Mantzurin slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Hardy stuffs the takedown. Mantzurin walks straight into a right hand from Hardy - that's dropped him! Hardy jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Mantzurin from any more punishment! Mantzurin complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Nagibatel does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. A leg kick checked by Martinez. Kovacs missing with a left hand there. Volkov was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Kovacs walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Volkov looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Kovacs wants to counter with a clinch but Volkov pushes him away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Volkov blocks a head kick by Kovacs.

Volkov tries to bum rush Kovacs with a series of wild strikes but Kovacs uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Kovacs tries to counter with a clinch but Volkov shakes him off and moves away.#CL2# Kovacs pushes Volkov up against the cage in a clinch.#BC# Volkov breaks from the clinch.

and Volkov rattles Kovacs with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Kovacs tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Volkov dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Kovacs stiff and motionless on the mat!
