The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Good standup being displayed there by Osipov as he connects with a hook. Woerner is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. #R1# Sokolov misses with a hook. Volyas is clearly looking to counter with head kicks. Volyas scores with a one two! Sokolov had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Sokolov throws a sloppy body shot
and Volyas counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Volyas falls off balance throwing a combination
#TD# and Sokolov counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Sokolov. Sokolov is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Sokolov working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Volyas's head. Sokolov slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Volyas is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Sokolov dives into side control.
Volyas is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Sokolov off and has taken his back! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! I really don't envy Sokolov right now.
