Alawi closes the distance and clinches up with Widforss, looking for a takedown. Alawi pushes Widforss against the cage but Widforss circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Tyres Widforss seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Widforss scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Alawi avoids the body shot from Widforss.

Spartan is pressed up against the cage. Nutz has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Spartan down to the mat. Spartan avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Nutz throws a leg kick that misses. Spartan was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Spartan darts in looking for a takedown but Nutz gets double underhooks and turns Spartan into the cage. Nutz tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#TD2# Nutz turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Spartan definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Tate lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Tate. A swing and a miss from Tate. Belly lands the left hand. Tate misses with a hook. Belly appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Tate throws a looping overhand right but Belly ducks down to avoid it. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Tate misses with a hook. Belly lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Belly misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

It seemed like Tate was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Belly is looking to clinch. Tate appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Tate might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Belly ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Tate has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Tate scores with a jab to the jaw. Alawi changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Hug throws a half hearted mid kick. Alawi drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Hug defends it well. Hug fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Alawi. Hug throws a quick inside leg kick. Hug is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Alawi can do to turn this around? Hug throws a nice outside leg kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hug misses with a body kick. Alawi is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Hug looks to land a body kick but Alawi moved away. Hug sets himself, and Alawi steps forward looking for the clinch! Hug avoids it this time. Hug throws a hook to the side of Alawi's head but Alawi sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Alawi pushes Hug against the cage but Hug circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Hug misses with a straight left. Alawi with the counter takedown but Hug avoids it easily. Good shot there by Hug. Hug pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Alawi tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Hug defends well and Alawi ends up having to push Hug into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Abel Hug is winning the standup battle so far. Hug moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
A jab from Hug finds it's way through Alawi's defenses. Hug is looking to score with low kicks. Alawi takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Hug throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Alawi's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.#T2# Alawi closes the distance and clinches up with Hug, looking for a takedown. Alawi pushes Hug against the cage but Hug circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Abel Hug has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tahboule Alawi. Alawi shoots for a double leg takedown but Hug sprawls well. He's pushed Alawi's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Alawi blocks a leg kick. Alawi takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Hug throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Hug pushes Alawi away with a front kick. This has been an exciting period of action! Hug is looking to land body kicks. Alawi moves out of range as Hug throws a body kick.
#TD2# Alawi shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Hug napping and manages to drive through into side control! Hug tries to bench press Alawi off him but Alawi keeps the position. #T3# Alawi wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hug keeps working. Hug can't do much from the bottom here. #SUB2# Alawi is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Hug is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. A bit of a lull in the action here. Abel Hug is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Hug continues to stall. Alawi looking to control but instead Hug has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard. Alawi wants to take a breather but Hug is having none of it. Hug manages to get to full guard.
Tahboule Alawi has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Hug avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. #T4# The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Alawi makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Alawi postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Alawi trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Tahboule Alawi has got the better of the ground game so far. Hug managing to control the position. Alawi trying to control but Hug is working from the bottom. #REF3# The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Abel Hug showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hug, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A relieved looking Pan Thongrak thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
