Lewis has his hands clasped together but Vanilla extends and breaks Lewis 's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Vanilla.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Ortega is not content to let Johnson control the position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ortega can do anything to dispel that myth. Johnson throwing shots but missing, from side control. Johnson moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Ortega tries to bench press Johnson off him but Johnson keeps the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. You can see the frustration on Ortega's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. It looked like Babinski was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Steamboat Jr. Nice straight punches there by Babinski. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Babinski. Babinski fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Steamboat Jr on the side of the head.#CUT# It looks like Ricky Steamboat Jr has been cut. Horrible takedown attempt by Ortega or perhaps it was just good defense by Slerssi, which made it look bad. Slerssi misses with a head kick.

#TD# so Ortega counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Ortega stands and throws Slerssi's legs to the side, diving into side control. Slerssi really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ortega. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.#SU# Ortega decides to stand back up. Ortega moves in looking to clinch but Slerssi pushes him off. Ortega avoids a kick to the body.

Slerssi with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. #R1##TD2# Vanilla drives through with a takedown into Jones's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Vanilla wanted to stand there but Jones had control of the position. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Vanilla accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Vanilla seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Vanilla has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Vanilla passes easily into side control. Nice work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Vanilla postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Jones is breathing heavily. Jones has hold of Vanilla's hands but Vanilla slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Vanilla sitting and controlling from the half guard. #T1# Vanilla works his way into side control. Jones seems a little lost for a moment, as Vanilla dominates the positioning. Vanilla working the ground and pound. Vanilla working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Vanilla content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. #T2# A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Vanilla has knee on belly and moves into mount. Jones in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. The referee warns Jones that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
