That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hamburger Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jones tries to throw a body punch but Hunt avoids it by throwing Jones back against the cage. Jones tries for a takedown but Hunt manages to get underhooks.

That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Jones postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Jones passes into half guard. Jones performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Highlander is refusing to be controlled, as Jones sits in half guard. #SUB2# Jones seems to be working for a kimura but Highlander defends the submission attempt. Jones takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bond is looking to regain full guard. I really don't envy Submit right now.

and Tokugawa counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Wright thinking. Nice defenses there by Tokugawa. Nice uppercut there from Tokugawa. Wright misses with a right hand and Tokugawa counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Wright slips a jab and a cross from Tokugawa.
Tokugawa looks to land a left hand but Wright moved out of range nicely.#TD2# Wright closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
