#R1# Garcie slips a straight right by Artist. Garcie is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Artist misses with a head kick.
Garcie shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Artist as he avoids it easily. Artist lands a head shot. Artist thuds a left hand into Garcie's body. Artist throws a hook to the side of Garcie's head but Garcie sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Artist jabs Garcie right on the nose. Garcie blinks but takes it well. Garcie fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Artist avoids it really well and circles away. Artist throws a series of punches but Garcie moves out of range. No luck for Garcie with that takedown attempt. Artist looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit. The Artist has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ricksono Garcie. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Garcie takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Artist lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Artist slaps away a takedown attempt from Garcie, before circling back to the center of the mat. Artist cracks the inside of Garcie's front leg. The Artist seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Artist slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Artist throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Artist stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Jab, jab by Artist - just one landing. Artist will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Garcie steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Artist. Garcie shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.#T3# Garcie tries to close the distance and clinch up but Artist swats him away and circles back towards the center. Artist cracks Garcie with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Artist is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Artist keeps the fight on the outside. Artist connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. A shot to the liver by Artist. Beautiful body shot. Artist scores with a leg kick.
The fighters circle momentarily. Artist darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Artist sizes up Garcie with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Artist throws a shot from downtown. Garcie moves away and avoids it. Garcie takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Artist lands with a nice combination. Garcie blocks a jab. Garcie closes the distance and clinches up with Artist, looking for a takedown. Garcie pushes Artist against the cage but Artist circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Garcie fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. We've been told by Artist's head coaches at Rape Academy (7 elite, 6 2x elite) that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.#T4# Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Artist, as that shot connected.
Artist defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Garcie. Garcie shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Artist defends it nicely. Artist getting the better of the striking in that exchange. A punch lands to the side of Garcie 's head but he takes it in his stride. Artist thows a left - swing and a miss! The fighters circling - Artist throws out the jab but it was never going to land. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Artist keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Artist stuns Garcie with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Artist swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Garcie. Garcie takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
The Artist dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. #R2# Artist looks to land a right hand but Garcie moved out of range. Garcie throws out a counter right but Artist avoids it with no problem. Artist throws a nice inside leg kick. Artist fails to land with a series of punches.
Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Garcie might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Artist has got the better of the exchanges. Garcie needs to keep his hands up - Artist had a free shot at his head there. Nice cross by Artist. Garcie looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Artist dips to his left and cracks Garcie with an uppercut!#ROC# Garcie is rocked! Garcie scores with a head kick.

Artist lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Artist celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.

#R1# Nick lands the left hand. Nice takedown defense from Nick. No joy for Jojo on that attempt. Nick scores with a hook to the body. Jojo takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Nick lands with a nice body punch. Nick lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Jojo at a distance.
Jojo looks winded! Jojo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Nick tries to avoid it but Jojo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Nick to the ground. Nick escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Nick scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Nick ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jojo moves away. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Jojo! But no joy. Jojo closes this distance looking for a takedown but Nick circles away. Nick was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Saint Nick has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fat Jojo.#KD# Nick cracks Jojo with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Nick has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Jojo to stand back up!#ROC# Jojo is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Nick scores with a hook. Jojo is still on wobbly legs! Can Nick finish him? Jojo crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Nick punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!

#R1# Mcgreggy looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.#TD2# Pettis gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Mcgreggy trying to control but Pettis is working from the bottom. Mcgreggy forces his way into half guard. Mcgreggy trying to control from half guard but Pettis is working away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mcgreggy throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Mcgreggy is trying to control the action in half guard but Pettis is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. #T1# Pettis has his hands clasped together around Mcgreggy's back. He's all about the action. Mcgreggy is looking to stall here but Pettis recovers full guard. Pettis keeping moving, preventing Mcgreggy from controlling successfully. #T2# My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.#SUB# Pettis looking for a guillotine here but Mcgreggy defends easily.

Pettis is in close to Mcgreggy's body, working some short punches and elbows. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Anthony Pettis will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Connie Mcgreggy's cut. That's time! Pettis's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. #R2# Mcgreggy misses with a jab to the body

Ricksono Garcie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.#TD# Garcie shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Our spies down at at Bloodsport Gym 16 Elites inform us that Mies has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Garcie content to stall in guard here. Mies is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Mies preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Garcie tries to free his leg and advance position but Mies is retaining full guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!#SUB2# Mies had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Garcie defends it easily. Garcie sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Mies's guard. Mies is in trouble now - Garcie has advanced to mount! Garcie will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
