04 Aug 23 - Legends of Combate: Celebrating the Hall of Fame Inductees
Combate, the premier MMA organization based in Rio de Janeiro, has witnessed numerous fighters step into the cage, showcase their skills, and leave behind a lasting legacy. Combate established its Hall of Fame to honor the remarkable careers of these legendary athletes that stood out from the pack. Among those who have been immortalized in this prestigious institution, we find one prolific manager and five outstanding fighters who have left an indelible mark on the organization: Chris Steve, Jacque Joteel, Eduardo Corassa, Mohammed Kahn, and Raate Road.

Darren Russell: Combate's Birth Mother

Darren Russell is the founder of Combate and the original owner. He led the organization to the Org of the Year in 2021 and was voted the CEO of the Year, back-to-back, in 2021 and 2022. He now maintains a position on the board of directors and occasionally chimes in on discord if he remembers to show up to the office with his pants on.

Chris Steve: The Middleweight Phenom

The first inaugural inductee into the Combate Hall of Fame, Chris Steve, is widely recognized as the greatest Middleweight champion in Combate history. Hailing from Brazil, Steve dominated his division with an awe-inspiring record of 13 wins and only 2 losses, with an impressive 11 knockouts. His skill, power, and precision in the cage made him a formidable force, earning him the respect and admiration of fans and fellow fighters alike. Steve's legacy as a Middleweight champion will forever be etched in the annals of Combate history and he's a former #1 P4P fighter.

Jacque Joteel: The Lightweight Gold Medalist

Jacque Joteel's journey to greatness was nothing short of extraordinary. As a six-time Lightweight champion, he reigned supreme in the division, making him one of Combate's most dominant champions. Notably, Joteel also represented Combate in the Olympics, where he proudly won a Gold medal for his organization. He returned from the Olympics juiced up on the Moscow special and started flatlining opponents. Successfully defended his title 3 more times before losing a competitive fight to Zaid al Balushi.

Eduardo Corassa: The Heavy-Handed Bantamweight

A powerhouse in the Bantamweight division, Eduardo Corassa's aggressive fighting style and heavy hands made him a force to be reckoned with. As an eight-time Bantamweight champion, the Brazilian fighter from Sao Paulo engaged in unforgettable wars with the Sitsongrit camp, leaving spectators on the edge of their seats. Corassa's relentless pursuit of victory and numerous title defenses earned him a well-deserved spot in the Combate Hall of Fame.

Mohammed Kahn: The Lebanese Pitbull

Mohammed Kahn's accomplishments inside the Combate octagon are nothing short of astonishing. A twenty-time Light Heavyweight champion from the legendary Convicted Fight Club, he holds the record for most knockouts and most wins in Combate history. Kahn was the face of Combate for an entire generation, earning him the moniker "Kahn-bate".

Raate Road: The P4P Welterweight Champion

As a former pound-for-pound number one fighter, Raate Road's skill and talent were undeniable. The six-time Welterweight champion from Pablo Spezziale's Heavy Metal gym showcased a level of dominance that few could match. His unparalleled success in the division was highlighted by a record-breaking six consecutive title fight victories and his remarkable achievements have solidified his place among the all-time greats.

28 Jul 23 - Combate Weekend Recap
Combate 213:

In the main event of Combate 213, "The Pitbull" Mohammed Kahn put on a dominant performance and avenged his previous loss by defeating the middleweight champion Shinnosuke Nakagawa in a thrilling clash. Khan's relentless aggression and striking prowess proved too much for Nakagawa to handle, as he secured a TKO victory, marking the first time Nakagawa had been finished in such a manner. With this win, Khan reclaimed his Light Heavyweight title, solidifying his position as one of the top fighters in the division.

The co-main event of Combate 213 featured an intense showdown between Manchester's Adams Menday and Liverpool's Zeke Titus. In a display of exceptional grappling skills, Menday outperformed Titus, earning himself a light heavyweight title shot. Menday's victory showcased his versatility as a fighter and undoubtedly sets the stage for an exciting title bout in the future.

Combate 214:

The main event of Combate 214 featured an electrifying title defense by the Heavyweight champion, Mike Haggar. Throughout five rounds, Haggar showcased his exceptional skills, dominating Tinashe Chukwuma en route to a unanimous decision victory. With this impressive win, Haggar solidified his position as the dominant force in the Heavyweight division and has now set his sights on a potential superfight against the #1 pound-for-pound fighter in the world, Kilo "Bloodbath" Maluga from SYN. If the rumors prove true, this matchup promises to be one of the most highly anticipated fights in recent history.

The co-main event of Combate 214 saw Lithuania's "The Belt Collector" Juodasis Vaiduoklis defending his featherweight title against the newcomer and ENIGMA triple champion, Mamed "The Cannibal" Khalidovic. Vaiduoklis proved his worth as the reigning champion, successfully fending off Khalidovic's challenges and securing his title with a decisive victory. Despite Khalidovic's impressive credentials, Vaiduoklis demonstrated why he is considered one of the best in the featherweight division.

Overall, Combate 213 and Combate 214 delivered an action-packed night of MMA fights, featuring high-stakes matchups and memorable performances from the athletes. The events showcased the incredible skill and dedication of the fighters, leaving fans eagerly anticipating what's to come in the world of combat sports.
08 Jul 23 - Khalidovic ready for Combate debut
The highly anticipated debut of Mamed "The Cannibal" Khalidovic (17-5-1) is booked and underway.

After becoming one of the most highly sought after free agents on the market, the 28-year-old Mamed Khalidovic signed with the Combate featherweight division earlier this year.

Born in Grozny, Chechnya, he now resides in Poland and reps the Polish flag. He's very mum on why this is, perhaps his family were war refugees or forced to flee the country for reasons he doesn't want to discuss, but we respect his privacy and focus primarily on his MMA career and the resume he's put together.

Under manager PJ Jones and training out of Far-Q Fight Club, Khalidovic has quietly fought his way to the top of the division by putting together a dominant 7 fight winning streak enroute to becoming a triple-champ in the ENIGMA organization.

After winning the ENIGMA lightweight title in dominant fashion, Khalidovic made it his quest to drop down to featherweight to take the belt from Northern Ireland's scrappy striker Mickey Cowan (19-9-0).

Khalidovic's side quest for titles didn't stop there. He did the unthinkable for somebody of his stature and 183 CM frame. He made the cut to the bantamweight division to smesh a trans-athlete and take Natalia Pisswater's bantamweight championship as well, achieving the triple crown status under the ENIGMA banner.

He could've walked away from the organization right then and there, signing on with the SYN's or Combate's of the world for a big money contract, but he had a promise to ENIGMA owner John Daughtery that he would defend that Lightweight championship one final time, and that's exactly what he did when he took on Tommy Vercetti (13-4-0) and smashed him enroute to a dominant unanimous decision victory.

He's 9-1 in his last 10 fights, and 17-5-1 overall, with his only losses coming by way of the judges decisions. Khalidovic is a pressure style fighter with elite wrestling and a blackbelt in Jiu-Jitsu, he defeats his opponents with precision striking, a nasty clinch game, and classic Russian-Sambo-style grappling.

Perhaps the biggest question fight fans had when Khalidovic signed with Combate was what division the prospect would settle on, and that question has officially been answered now that the Chechen fighter has been booked against Combate featherweight champion "The Belt Collector" Juodasis Vaiduoklis (30-10-1).

Khalidovic has no small task ahead of him as he's set to take on the #1 featherweight in the world. Vaiduoklis has been on a monstrous run ever since he hired Slick Gunderson of the YABAI alliance as his manager and joined The Rubber Guard Emporium.

The Lithuanian is riding an 11-fight win streak into his title defense and has a world of momentum behind him after defeating former Combate featherweight champion Li Xiaodong (26-11-0) to capture the belt, and then heading over to Tokyo to compete under the Dynasty MMA banner to dominate everybody's favorite red belt Jesse Pinkman (21-6-0).

This will be Mamed Khalidovic's toughest test to date, and Vegas bookies agree opening Juodasis Vaiduoklis up as a slight -150 favorite. Will "The Cannibal" be able to continue his winning ways and pull off an upset against the current champion? Tune in to Combate 214 to find out!
07 Jul 23 - C208: McWrestler vs Kronos II
Event Preview: C208: McWrestler vs Kronos II

Combate
2023-07-09, Tokyo, Tokyo Bowl

TOKYO BOWL, JAPAN - C208: McWrestler vs Kronos II

In the Main Event of the evening, Combate welterweight champion Dude "Duderino" McWrestler (29-10-0) defends his championship against DMMA's welterweight champion Kronos Doomsday (18-11-0) at C208: McWrestler vs Kronos II.

"Duderino" already holds a unanimous decision win over the DMMA champion back at C184: McWrestler vs Doomsday, which saw McWrestler win the interim championship in Raate Road's absence (who has since been stripped of his title due to inactivity/retirement). Despite the Pakistan native being an elite wrestler with a blackbelt in Jiujitsu, he didn't want to take any chances on the ground against the red belt Kronos Doomsday. Doomsday has 12 submission victories on his record and "Duderino" no doubt will be looking to use his slick boxing and takedown defense to keep this fight standing again, a tactic he used to defeat Doomsday in their previous contest.

"Duderino" was a determined 8-4 MMA fighter when he joined the Heartless Team, and he has since evolved into one of top ranked welterweights in the sport as well as the face of that camp. He's a six-time Blaze Brothers organization welterweight champion, and he's coming off a narrow win over his ultimate rival Matrix Man. It was the fifth time these two had been locked in a cage together, and McWrestler won a closely contested match to capture the undisputed Combate welterweight title.

Kronos Doomsday is a former GAMMA Contenders Series champion who was riding a 2 fight winning streak under the Combate banner before suffering a loss to the hands of Dude McWrestler back at C184. He has since turned red-coat and fled across the pond to take on lesser competition at DMMA, riding the moment of a 3-fight championship win streak that has projected him up to the #2 ranked welterweight in the world by scoring a major upset against former DMMA champion Get Wet About Don (16-5-1).

"I'm ready to take all of Kronos Doomsday's hype." Duderino says with his trademark million-dollar smile, "First I'm gonna take his hype, then I'm gonna take his fans."

In the co-main event of the event the fans get to see another rematch between top welterweight contenders Carter Wright (23-10-1) and Mikey Marciano (11-4-0), as they meet for the third time.

Carter Wright is a knockout artist who already holds a knockout victory over "The Bully" in their last outing at C167. But Marciano also holds a knockout victory over Wright that happened back at BB 81, earlier in their careers. This is a trilogy between two heavy handed fighters that have no desire to go the distance.

Mikey Marciano trains out of the coveted Convicted Top Team and is riding a 3-fight win streak with 2 coming by way of knockout. His fight at C197 with Nils Norling was an absolute war that earned his first of back-to-back fight of the night bonuses.

Carter Wright is an absolute specimen possessing rare KO power contributed to unnatural extra calf-muscles. He's coming off a decision victory over welterweight contender Ethan Hawk at C205 after coming up short in his welterweight championship title fight against Matrix Man at C199.

Marciano will be seeking to avenge their last meeting, and Carter will be looking to establish dominance over "The Bully", as both fighters push towards their championship aspirations. Surely another victory will project either man towards the top of the division and closer to a showdown with whoever the welterweight champion may be.

Elsewhere on the card:

185 lbs - Sonny Giovanni v Hunter Broderick
170 lbs - Junqueiro Santo Amaro v Toby Keith Yrkje

03 Jul 23 - Combate Weekend Recap
Hello Tycoon fans! We're here recapping the weekend which saw some big fights and crazy finishes.

C206: Kersikov vs Blank

The weekend started in Tokyo and the main event of the evening saw Ukraine's Andrei Kersikov (18-4-0) defend the heavyweight crown against former champion Billy "Bulldozer" Blank (19-9-0) by finishing the 225cm HGH-fueled giant in the 2nd round with a picture perfect right hand that led to a knockout.

It was Kersikov's first successful title defense of his career and the victory cemented his place as one of the top heavyweight's in the world. Kersikov used an array of kicks to chop the tree down before finishing him off with the knockout winning punch. This masterclass performance will undoubtedly have Andrei Kersikov in the conversation as the #1 Heavyweight fighter on the planet, but Kilo fans may have something to say about that...

Blank and his team were in shambles following the loss, lost for words and looking for answers, but one thing "Bulldozer has always done was bounce back from a loss in a big way. We expect him to rebound from this one as well and we feel sorry for his future opponents.

C207: Nakagawa vs Obama IV

Not one, not two, but three title fights in what goes down as one of the biggest events of the year.

The first title fight saw the Bantamweight title change hands from the long-time champion and hometown hero Eduardo Corassa (40-16-2) and to the new hotness, Johnny Albatross (23-5-0). Johnny dominated start to finish, as the younger fight was just too fast for his veteran counterpart. In the 2nd round he finished the former champ off with a flurry of punches and that was all she wrote, we have a new Bantamweight champion, Johnny Albatross!

The co-main event featured a Light Heavyweight championship match between the face of Combate and first ballot hall of famer, "The Pitbull" Mohammed Kahn (37-10-1) and Roberto Fabinho (20-8-1).

Roberto looked like he was on cruise control for nearly 4 rounds, taking Kahn to the ground and controlling the action.

Kahn looked lethargic all night and it wasn't until the 4th round that Kahn appeared to show some urgency, using a kimura to reverse the position and take top control, where he worked to Roberto's back and synched in a rear naked choke with only seconds left in the round.

The fans in attendance went nuts and many expected Kahn to hang up the gloves following such an epic comeback finish, but Kahn just thanked his fans and ensured them that he'd be back - which resulted in a standing ovation from the 93,000 fans in attendance.

The main event was featured the 4th showdown between Middleweight rivals Barack Obaminator (29-14-0) and the reigning champion and grappling sensation Shinnosuke Nakagawa (22-8-0).

Their last fight ended in controversy, a razor closed contest that resulted in a majority decision in favor of the champ, and it appeared that another close fight was underway through the midway point after the fighters split a round a piece.

Nakagawa dictated where the fight was going to take place, but Obaminator seemed more than willing to oblige a grappling match, with both fighters going for submissions.

In the 3rd round Obaminator would find himself with his back on the canvas, with a smothering Japanese wizard working his way to his back, and as if not to be outdone by Kahn in the co-main event, Nakagawa locked in a rear naked choke tapping Obaminator out with seconds left in the 3rd round.

That victory earned Nakagawa another submission of the night and boosted his status as the most dangerous middleweight grappler in the world. What's next for Nakagawa? He has his ambitious sights set on double champ status, moving up to LHW to take on the current champion Mohammed Kahn, perhaps trying to avenge his teammate.

KERSIKOV NEW HEAVYWEIGHT KING | BONAPARTE DETHRONED | BILLY BLANK NEXT

Andrei Kersikov (17-4-0) captured the Heavyweight title in style, finishing off the former reigning champion Maximillian "The Lion" Bonaparte (21-6-0) with a brutal combination of punches in the 3rd round to score the knockout victory. With this impressive victory Kersikov has established himself as one of the best Heavyweight fighters on the planet not named Kilo Maluga or Kjetil Olsen, and he brings the Combate Heavyweight title back to the Ukraine to give his people something to cheer for since the Ruskies are still pillaging their lands and women.

What's next for Maximillian Bonaparte after this devastating loss? Surely the young French kickboxer will look forward to getting back into the cage and wiping the taste of defeat from his mouth. Before losing his belt, he was riding a 7 fight winning streak with 3 Combate Heavyweight title victories.

The #6 ranked Heavyweight in the world, Billy "Bulldozer" Blank (19-8-0), was sitting cage side for the event in the Tokyo Bowl. He watched the sequence of events unfold with a sick and twisted smile on his face. Billy Blank is a former Heavyweight champion in Combate that lost his title to Gerry "Mandering" Line (26-13-0) back at Combate 180 and Blank has been eager to recapture gold ever since, starching back-to-back top heavyweight contenders in Jimmy Granite (18-9-0) and John Boy Walton (15-5-0).

STEP INTO THE MATRIX | MATRIX VS MCWRESTLER V ON THE HORIZON?

The Welterweight champion that goes by Matrix Man (25-12-2) defended his title against hard-hitting Carter Wright (22-10-1) to extend his winning streak to 7.

Matrix Man -whose Greek name he was given at birthright is too long and complicated to actually type out - is undefeated inside the Combate cage, and contributes his manager Mikey C and his teammates at the The Rubber Guard Emporium as a major contribution to his recent success.

His rival Dude McWrestler (28-10-0) also picked up a victory, getting back into the win column after dry humping George Pierre (16-9-0) for the better part of 3 rounds. Dude is 2-2 against Matrix Man, and it's time for these fighters to throw down one final time to settle their beef.

Both fighters are equally eccentric in their own right, and they go by really weird names, but fans are excited to see the final chapter in their 5 fight rivalry.

THE BELT COLLECTOR ADDS ONE MORE | DID LI XIAODONG HAVE THE CHINA FLU?

"The Belt Collector" Juodasis Vaiduoklis (29-10-1) handled business in his Combate debut by dispatching former featherweight champion Li Xiaodong (26-10-0) in the 1st round by way of TKO.

Lithuania's favorite fighter Juodasis Vaiduoklis took some time post fight to say the following; "Hello, Combate. My close friend and mentor, Arthur Morgan, was Combate's third middleweight champion. It has been a long journey back to the top for Gunderson promotions. I want to dedicate this win to Arthur, Slick and several, but not all, of my illegitimate children. I will be fighting champion."

If we're being honest, it was not Li Xiaodong's best performance and when he entered the cage he looked lethargic. Rumors have it that the fighter from Beijing spent a little too much time in Wuhan's wet market and was struck with a severe case of the China flu before this bout, and it's hard to dispel such a myth when you gas out walking into the arena. Fans and Combate brass respect the fact that Li showed up to this fight at all given his physical condition entering the contest.

"EL CAZAOR" WINS BY KO | OCHOA MAKES MEXICO PROUD | WILL TANEYEV BOUNCE BACK?

Anthony "El Cazador" Ochoa (23-10-0) proves the first flight no fluke as he retains the light heavyweight championship by defeating Valentin "The Hand Grenade" Taneyev (34-17-1) by way of knockout, as the fight ended with a flurry of punches 40 seconds into the 4th round.

Ochoa entered the first fight a heavy underdog but the odds had shifted somewhat in the middle before the rematch. He'd prove that he didn't get lucky by defeating Ochoa again, this time in dominant fashion, looking too fast and too furious for the "The Hand Grenade".

Ochoa is expected to defend his crown against future Combate Hall of Famer Mohammed Kahn or ENIGMA Light Heavyweight champion Zeke Titus.

After a dominating reign as the Combate Light Heavyweight champion, Taneyev is coming off his 11th career knockout loss and 3rd knockout loss in the last 5 fights. Some fans and critics are worried that the 37 year old fighter is washed after appearing outmatched in his last pair of bouts, looking slow and sluggish compared to the younger Ochoa. This wouldn't be the first time he was counted out in his career, and the experts at the tycoon times expect him to return to form in the near future.

CORONA VIRUS NO MATCH FOR PEDRO FUENTES | IMMUNE SYSTEM KO

Pedro "Big Peter" Fuentes (32-13-0) rebounds from his last loss to Kilo Maluga by knocking out the Corona Virus, proving that his indigenous Brazilian genes are just too much for the china flu.

Fuentes made his Combate debut in style, winning by TKO in the 2nd round. Both fighters were head hunting but it was Fuentes who battered "Covid 19" up and down the cage every time he landed one of his big mallets he calls hands. It'll be interesting to see what's next for the former #2 Heavyweight in the world, but we expect he's only a win or two away from competing for the Heavyweight title.

NAKAGAWA OUT GRAPPLES ADAM | 3RD RANKED MIDDLEWEIGHT IN THE WORLD

Shinnosuke Nakagawa (20-8-0) out grapples "Il Monachus" Principo Adam (21-9-1) over the course of 5 rounds to retain the middleweight championship. The last time these two fought, Adam managing to choke out Adam with a guillotine in the 2nd round.

It was a closely contested matchup but this victory for Nakagawa marks his 2nd over Adam during his current winning streak of 7. It's his 3rd Middleweight title fight at Combate and extends his Combate record to a perfect 3-0.

Having beaten some of the best fighters the Combate middleweight division has to offer, fans are wondering if he'll be looking to score a big payday in a cross-promotion bout with another top ranked middleweight champion from another organization.

COMBATE LANDS TOP FEATHERWEIGHT | PUTS DIVISION ON NOTICE

"The Belt Collector" Juodasis Vaiduoklis (28-10-1) has officially signed a contract with Combate, joining the featherweight division with momentum. He's currently the 3rd ranked featherweight in the world and is riding a 9-fight winning streak.

The 8-time OFK Featherweight champion has bounced around several MMA camps during his career, but he's currently 9-0 since joining The Rubber Guard Emporium in Las Vegas. His camp notified social media that Vaiduoklis has been guaranteed the next title shot at 145, and fans can expect to see him competing for more gold soon.

It's been confirmed that he'll be cage-side for C196 when current featherweight champion Li Xiaodong defends his title against former champion Darren Dixon, and his signing has put the entire featherweight division on notice.

TANEYEV DETHRONED | OCHOA BRINGS BELT BACK TO MEXICO | WILL WE SEE A REMATCH?

Anthony "El Cazador" Ochoa (22-10-0) defeats Valentin "The Hand Grenade" Taneyev (34-16-1) by TKO in the 3rd round to capture the Light Heavyweight championship.

Ochoa entered this fight as a massive underdog to the former champion, and you could see the respect these two fighters had for each other in the first round after a tentative start. It appeared to be a feeling out process with both fighters clearly respecting the other man's firepower.

Both fighters appeared to be throwing everything they had in their shots, trying to score a highlight reel finish, and by the 2nd round they both were breathing pretty heavily. It seemed like Taneyev was separating himself from the challenger until Ochoa summoned his inner Mexican warrior and landed a big right hand that sent the champ crashing to the floor. Ochoa waved the bloodied up champ to his feet which drew cheers from the sold out arena.

From there on out, it seemed like Ochoa had found his range with that right hand. Ochoa came out in the 3rd and proved it by knocking him down again, waving him up much to the delight of the crowd, and finishing the job off with an overhand right that had Taneyev in a world of trouble. Ochoa pounded away on his opponent until the ref had to jump in to save him, and with that, Anthony Ochoa was officially the new Light Heavyweight champion.

Fans and pundits are already clamoring for an instant rematch for the Russian, citing his impressive title run and historic accomplishments inside the Combate cage. Rumors have it that Ochoa has already signed the dotted line if Valentin indeed does wish to run it back.

BLANK KO'S GRANITE | VYING FOR TITLE | EARNS KOTN

After winning his Combate debut in style by knocking out the Corona Virus, Jimmy "Gimmie" Granite (17-9-0) was gaining traction towards a heavyweight title shot. That all came to a screeching halt when he ran into the giant fists of former Heavyweight champ, Billy "Buldozer" Blank (18-8-0).

Billy Blank, the seven-foot-tall juggernaut, KO'd Jimmy Granite in 1:26 in the first round with a big uppercut and a massive right hand to get back into the win column after losing his title to Gerry "Mandering" Line (who would go on to lose it to surging Heavyweight contender Max Bonaparte).

The product of CHECMATE PRIME MMA told reporters at the post-fight press conference that he wants to get back into title contention and redeem his losses. With his 2nd KOTN performance one would certainly have to think that Blank's name is back in the mix as a contender in the Heavyweight division.

HEAVYWEIGHT SHOWDOWN | BONAPARTE DEFENDS TITLE VS ODENSE HW CHAMP

Maximilian "The Lion" Bonaparte (19-5-0) puts the Heavyweight title on the line against Billy "The Zombie" Cubbedge (18-5-0) at C191 on May 14th.

After exploding on the scene with 3 consecutive victories under the Combate banner, Bonaparte won the Combate Heavyweight championship in style back at C187 when he TKO'd Gerry "Mandering" Line in 2:07 of the very first round, improving his flawless Combate resume to 4-0 with 3 knockouts.

The challenger is one of the most recognized Heavyweights in the game. The Polish Odense Heavyweight champion Billy Cubbedge is ready to make his Combate debut after kneeing his last opponent into oblivion at OFK 293. Fans have been highly anticipating the debut of Cubbedge ever since he signed a non-exclusive deal with the organization.

When fire meets fire, one can all but guarantee an explosive knockout is incoming, and fight fans are jizzing their pants in anticipation. Who will emerge victorious?

COMBATE LANDS TOP HEAVYWEIGHT | KERSIKOV READY FOR WAR

Andrei Kersikov (15-4-0) exploded onto the Heavyweight scene when he won the WVT title against Tali Ihantala with a dramatic spinning back fist KO back at WVT 80. He followed it up with a huge knockout win over long-time GAMMA Heavyweight champion Karim Johnson. He was widely regarded as the 2nd best heavyweight on the planet not named Kilo Maluga.

Controversy emerged when rumors of him pissing hot for performance enhancing drugs surfaced. He'd find himself on the free agent market after WVT and DMMA separated themselves from the Ukrainian heavyweight. Shortly after Kersikov's name would be linked to Kjetil Olsen after Olsen dethroned Kilo Maluga for the SYN Heavyweight championship. Apparently however, no orgs would sanction the bout in fear for Olsen's safety.

After the rumors of a Olsen-Kersikov showdown were squashed by Dana Black and the commie overlords at SYN, Kersikov signed an exclusive deal with the Combate organization which nearly broke the internet. Fans can't wait to see who Kersikov faces next. Most assume he'll skip the line of contenders and get an instant title shot against the winner of Bonaparte/Cubbedge. Combate brass has yet to confirm or deny these reports.
