Jay: Ray and Jay's Excellent MMA Adventures has returned. I'm Jay, here as always with my father Ray. And, we and gonna give you the scoop on this weekends card, UPF 24: Clegane Vs. Morais. Before we get into it, I'd like to say that it is the final week of the contest, and as a finale the grand prize has been raised to $100k for the winner and $20k to the runner up. That seems like an easy $100k to me. Too bad they won't let me play. I know I could beat you pops. (Laughs)
Ray: Yeah right, in your dreams. Hey everybody this is Ray, I am the intelligent half of this onstage duo. And, I'm about to give you ALL 10 winners for this Saturdays event at Hayashi's Lounge in Hilo. You'll be able to take this information over to the UPF Sports Book, where they offer great odds, and make a small fortune. Alright so let's get started, you wanna start it off? Or shall I?
Jay: I got this. Hey, you may be the intelligent one, but I'm the good looking one. And, the witty one, and of course the s cont...

UNDERCARD
Robert McCall v Ryo Narushima – 205 lbs
Both these fighters suffered losses the last time they performed and both are determined to set that right as they prepare to face off in this light heavyweight bout. 21 year old Robert McCall is a boxer with a professional MMA record of 5-2, with all five of those wins coming knockout.
Ryo Narushima is a Muay Thai specialist with a good wrestling game to back it up; the 35 year old is at a height disadvantage here though and that might give McCall the edge in this contest.
Most likely this fight will remain on the feet, Narushima doesn't tend to shoot for takedowns much at all and in seven fights McCall has yet to be taken down.
Both fighters will look to play to their strengths with McCall focusing on his boxing and Narushima trying to set up head kicks; one way or another, a KO seems the most likely outcome.
Prediction: McCall by third round KO. cont... |

ehab Fighting Championship 6 – Flat lined
Wild Bob's Bar – Amsterdam – 11.7.2015
EVENT REVIEW
Building on the success of RFC 5 – A Pool of Blood, RFC 6 – Flat Lined, cemented RFCs position as one of the key MMA organizations in Europe. As the chase for RFCs inaugural belts hots up, the fighters put on an outstanding show of skill, heart and that most crowd-pleasing of all aspects of an MMA fight, how to finish your opponent. With only one fight going to the judges and a lone submission, the fans were treated to a devastating display of (T)KO power.
Fight 1 - Arnlaugur Arngrimurson (2-0-0) vs Danny Hall (0-3-0) – 170lbs cont... |

"I'll admit it, I didn't take this whole MMA thing seriously."
This is what manager Frank Lopso replied when questioned about his passion for MMA in general.
Frank seemingly left the fight game after only having nine fights (with a record of 3 wins and 6 losses) from his fighters. He reappeared on the scene recently, and he recently sat down with me for an interview.
My first question, and what I think most people want to know, why did you leave MMA in the first place?
"When i was around the first time, I didn't get the hype. Yeah my fighter won three fights, and won a Pyramid League. But those losses, man, being a newcomer to the sport, they took their toll."
Would you say you lost your passion for MMA in general? cont... |

What a card we had this Saturday, fight fans. KOTB 16 saw two new champions crowned, a new leader in promotional knockouts and a pair of wild back and forth fights that resulted in late Hail Mary arm triangle submissions. All in all, KOTB 16 was one of the promotion’s most exciting and highly rated cards in history.
Opening the undercard was an interesting welterweight matchup between a pair of veteran journeymen making their promotional debuts. Nanu Negi, a well-decorated Punjabi boxer, opened the fight by landing some clean punches and kicks but was quickly taken to the ground, which is where most of the fight would take place. Damien Ching, a well-rounded Hawaiian fighter, brought in a ton of experience from fighting in Europe, Los Angeles and Hawaii, and decided his best chance in this fight was on the mat. The two fighters engaged in a frantic mess of sweeps and submission attempts and seemed to have split the first two rounds. The third round was much the same, but with seconds remaining, with both fighters gasping for air, Negi worked a tight arm triangle submission, forcing Ching to tap out with under a minute left on the clock.
Nanu “Nanu007” Negi (2-4, 1-0) defeats Damien Ching (0-5, 0-1) via Submission (Arm Triangle) R3 - 04:25
