Blitzkrieg: Combat Development fighter Tshering Wangchuck has stated that he has spent his camp before this last fight at BCD 81 training with famed action movie legend and Aikido master, Sensi Steven Seagal. Wangchuck stopped Merkk Maloney in the 2nd round with a nasty elbow followed by strikes. After the fight Seagal gave an interview to a reporter from The Smasher’s Club online radio program. Here is what Seagal had to say about the fight.
“I love Wangchuck san. He is like a son to me, We had been working on some super secret moves in the gym, and I’m happy to see Wangchuck san put them to such good use. I actually invented the elbow strike to the head back in Japan about 30 years ago. I have a good eye for these type of things, and I told Wangchuck san going into this fight, ‘you will finish him in the 2nd round with the elbow we practiced’ and he did. I couldn’t be happier. (Seagal’s cellphone rings and he answers it) Hello? Yes! Hi Honey!... it’s my wife. Yes we won! Yes, I am so happy, Yes he won with the move I invented… OK I gotta go, I’m doing an interview... I don’t know some guy from the Smashing machine, or Smasher’s palace, or something, some radio show nobody has ever heard of, I don’t even know why I’m wasting my time with cont...

Johan Herberg 25-7-2 vs Rashad Jackson 23-3-1
In the main event we have a very long awaited rematch between these these two top contenders in the world. For those people that do not remember the battle between these two past combatants was so contested that it ended in a draw. I have many reasons to believe that the second fight will have a much different outcome i think that we can see a finish. I believe that Rashad will be able to keep this fight on the feet which will benefit him greatly. However Herberg is one of the most dangerous fighters in the game when it comes to the bjj aspect of the game seeing that he is a bjj black belt. This time around I see Herberg going for more attempts with takedowns and I see Jackson letting loose early. But its a matter of how long can Herberg actaully keep Jackson down. It showed in their last battle Jackson utilized his strength and stalled Herberg from doing any damage from the ground. Since its a five round fight I believe it will take more than takedowns and stall techs in order to win this one. Someone will get KO'ed. If Jackson can keep this one standing and is able prevent Herberg from getting top advantage I predict Jackson wins this by KO.

Welcome to the midweek Fight night featuring a large component of fighters from the Manager Jediblade as he puts his fighters to the test against some experienced and difficult opponents.
205 lbs. 3x5 Minute Rounds Kangeroo Poo (6-5) v Igor Zanta (5-1) With Zanta looking to continue his win streak he was battling hard in the first round to find his range and overcome an early cut. However fending off 5 submission attempt and taking the advice from his corner round 2 was all Zanta as he managed to get the fight into his domain and worked Poo in the clinch cutting him with an elbow and half way through the round connecting with a devastating knee that rocked Poo and resulted in a series off unanswered strikes that had him hitting the mat and tapping out from the strikes rather than continue to take more punishment. Winner by way of Submission (Strikes)Igor Zanta after 3:53 of round 2 and going to 6-1265+ lbs. 3x5 Minute Rounds Mac Gargan (1-0) v James Le Bleu (2-1) Taking an early barrage and being cut within second Gargan’s eyes narrowed and he unleashed a series of strikes that decimated his opponent knocking him out cold and creating a frenzied Yeeeeeeeeeeah Winner by way of KO (Punch). AFC 37 - Karlsson vs Lodin The review
5000 fans came out to see the warriors in Tokyo for the 37th AFC card featuring Jimmy Karlsson and Frank Lodin. Also on the card where two title fights, both the 135 and 155 divisions put their belt on the line. With 7 stoppages, 6 of them in the very first round, the fans were treated with the sweet candy that is high action fights and were kept on their toes the entire night!
Roy Mitchel vs Rayn MaClough
Both men came in shape and as expected kept this fight standing but with a different mindset on how they wanted the fight to go. Roy Mitchel was counting on his speed and maybe over estimated Maclough’s reaction time as he focused to throw combination but inefficiently. Rayn Maclough on the other hand seemed to showed respect towards his opponents boxing and although tried to take this fight to the clinch several times managed to avoid the flurry of Roy Mitchel and out boxed him picking the shots well. Late in the first round Rayn finally found a home with one of his strikes that eventually led to the demise of Roy Mitchel.
Winner by TKO(strikes) Rayn Maclough
Peter Kent vs Tyson Diaz
The fastest finish of the night came from the matchup between Peter Kent and Tyson Diaz. After a quick exchange Tyson Diaz managed to cut Peter Kent after utilizing good head movement and foot work that enabled Tyson to close the distance with a hook to the side of the head. The cut really woke Peter Kent up as he knew he couldn’t take too many of those. Mixing his punches up going both to the body and head although Tyson Diaz was the man with the power it was Peter Kent that came up on top with a nasty hook that sent Tyson Diaz crumbling down on the floor. Smelling blood Peter cont... |

Welcome to CFA 26 which has the much anticipated title fight of “The Machine” Ben Ladin against the undefeated Aaron Miller and a good cross section of all the weight classes and experience levels of the fighters.
185 lbs. 3 x 5 Rounds Josef Dellal (8-3) v Paul Moss (7-2) With a display of experience and talent Moss clinched early and gained the advantage by cutting Dellal 3 times in the first round through elbows but somehow the round was completed without any doctor intervention. Round 2 and 3 continued on the same way with the clinch game of Moss being the difference and just stifling the fight of Dellal as he failed in all of his 21 takedown attempts. However showing true grit and resilience Dellal managed to sustain 106 strikes in the clinch and still take it all the way to the end. But in the end the judges saw it as the one sided contest it was. Winner, by unanimous decision... Paul Moss and he goes to 8-2.

Jared Sage(Wrestler)0-0-0 vs Oscar Sanchez(Boxer)0-0-0
In our first fight of the night we have a very good match up between two different fighting styles. We have Sage who comes into this fight having a very successful wrestling background having a very big advantage in that aspect of the game. On the other hand there is the classic boxer with very little wrestling experience on the other side of the cage. The thing to watch in this fight is how long is sanchez going to be able to stay on his feet. Although he has a very big advantage in the stand up part of the game he cant use it if he is taken down and controlled but that is just one scenario. The other scenario is that sanchez is able to stay on the feet long enough to rock sage and end the fight before he can be taken and wore out on the ground but its a big maybe. Winner sage Via Decision
Jiaozi Wang(Muay Thai) 0-0-0 vs Sarah Albarracin(Balanced) 0-0-0
As the second night rolls on into the cage we see our first Muay thai specialist of the night. Wang comes into this fight having a very dangerous clinch game that should be feared at large in this tourny. Saran in this fight needs to be aware that Wang will be able to use this to his advantage as he can end the fight with and of his limbs. Now saran is no rookie in the clinch he has no where near the same skill but he knows what he is doing. Another aspect that Saran has in his favor is that he is a much more well rounded fighter hes not amazing in one aspect but is good for his age in a few. If saran is going to when this fight he needs to get it to the ground where his opponent is unfamiliar, If this happens then he should be able to control the fight on the ground and keep Wangs Muay thai under control. Winner Saran Via cont... |

RTT: V.O.G of Amsterdam has added a new fighter to the 135lbs championship roster, "The Legend" Luke Lashley.
After his recent move to this organisation he thinks he will be able to recover from his string of losses over the last few months, where he was managed by Paddy O'Connor and his debut was September 2010, under this management he has been unable to find a win for his last 5 matches.
After an interview with the 23 year old from Manchester UK, he commented on the how his recent results affected him and talks about the changes to his career over the last week and now cant wait to impress his new manager Bunner Ting.
He said " Everything for me was not going well and i put this down to my previous manager, but i am now under new management, i have a new contract, i am training with an elite gym (Soul Supremacy Fight Club Amsterdam), and i am more motivated than ever, i am looking forward for my debut, there is NO DOUBT i am gonna be the RTT. Since we last checked in with "The American Hero" Roger Freedman he has continued his winning streak with 3 more finishes making it 6 straight wins by finish!
Freedmen closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Filipovic quickly recovers to half guard.
Filipovic is rocked!
Freedmen in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Filipovic tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Freedmen!
Freedmen cracks Brzydota with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Freedmen has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Brzydota to stand back up!
Brzydota is rocked!
It looks like Jas Brzydota has been cut.
Freedmen lands with a massive overhand right! Stick a fork in Brzydota - he's out cold! Ermm... I think I just mixed my metaphors but yeah... That was a nice KO! Big win for Freedmen!
Freedmen circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Dougles drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Freedmen follows Dougles to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over! cont... |
