Dan Gable vs Kaleki Oliweli

While Oliweli was a solid fighter when it comes to the striking game, his takedown defense just wasn't helping him at all in this battle against Gable. Gable didn't really go for too much in the striking department but his takedowns was more than enough to force the issue. Oliweli was nothing but a defender on the ground and Gable didn't do much either but stalling was more than enough to score more than Oliweli. Not a fun fight but victory to Gable. Winner: Dan Gable(UD)

Henry Morgan vs Gabriel Tablita

Morgan hit a huge counter to start the round and he was able to maintain pressure on Tablita throughout the round on the ground. Tablita sure did a good job in defending though. Round 2, Tablita continued his wild swing approach but did land a good shot that rocked Morgan hard but Morgan was able to hold off the aggression on his own and put on a good fight before the ending bell. Round 3, Tablita found a huge hook and that put Morgan to the floor, knowing that

Returning To MMA Tycoon - Is It Possible To Start Again?

Editorial by Chris Dewing

I don't know how many people are likely to remember the name Chris Dewing, but for a while I actually contributed a bit to the Tycoon universe. Back in June 2010 I joined the game and very quickly went VIP to build my first company, a Clothing company called Liberty Fight Gear. This was soon changed to Lightning Fight Gear after I found out there was a real company called Liberty. I soon sold that and opened up a Fight Org in Montreal called Stampede Fighting Championship, we achieved reasonable success in the 14 months that the org was open, and I like to think that the managers who signed their fighters up to me were treated well and had a good experience.

When the fight org fun was over I decided to focus on my fighters, I had 15 of them at the time thanks to a combination of VIP and purchasing extra slots. I put an exhaustive amount of time into training them, not to mention the $1.5 million I had from the closing down of SFC, and eventually I had a legion of fighters that were strong enough to win. Unfortunately there was one thing missing, I lacked the managerial talent to use the sliders with any effectiveness and despite having high stats these fighters suffered continual losses. Now short on money due to the private gym costs I made money the one way I knew how to, by writing show reviews for Blitzkrieg. The reviews were widely praised but they took an enormous toll on my time and energy, writing out a review of just 10 fights would often take 4-5 hours of my free time, and it reached the stage where I didn't have the time or the mental strength to keep doing it.

With no money, no strategy talent and a deepening sense of failure looming over me, I made the very hard decision to cut my ties with MMA Tycoon and disappear into the night. The game that had once been the centre of my life became nothing but a mere afterthought, and the fighters I had worked so hard to train lost their gym places, lost their contracts and lost the majority of their abilities. When my VIP expired I then lost 5 of them to free agency, picking the 5 to get rid of was very tough choice to make and further cemented my frustration at my inability to get anything out of the game.

Boba Fett: The Legend Returns

Fighter profile of Calvin J. Candie by Johnny Wonnut

Bold and brash, Boba Fett burst onto the MMA Tycoon scene at just 21 years old. He ripped through the regional circuits with a 9-0 record before he entered the world’s best organization at the time, Blitzkrieg. Blitzkrieg didn’t handle Boba with kid gloves either. His first test was against Sunny Disposition, a beast with vast experience over the young challenger. Hall of Fame manager, Chris Partridge said, “Asking anyone to fight a guy like Sunny Disposition in their first fight in the big leagues is a hell of a thing to ask.”Disposition exploited the weakness that Fett had in his muay thai and, in a very close fight, Disposition handed Boba his first loss. Boba, however, took the loss in stride and utilized it as a learning experience. Sunny’s manager, Gunmetal Grey, boastful with a touch of bravado noted that the Boba “hype train was derailed.” However, the hype train wasn’t derailed…it was only getting started. Igor Psycho, manager of top-ranked Middleweight, Igor Glozman (a man Boba would later knock out), emphatically said that Boba was “the future best fighter in the game.” It’s the promise that Boba has tried to live up to.

After winning two straight fights to follow-up on the Sunny loss, Boba found himself on the precipice of greatness once more. However, he needed to climb over his own personal Mt. Everest, Sunny Disposition. The rematch was ugly. Real ugly. The ugliest fight of either man’s career. However, with his evolving wrestling game, Boba was able to take down Sunny time and time again, en route to a split decision victory. Next up for Fett was the world’s greatest Middleweight, Manny Baddabing.

Boba joined Blitzkrieg for his chance at the greatest and at greatness. At the time he said, “[Baddabing] is the man…[he] hadn’t lost in over four years. Someday, I’d like to be mentioned in the same breath as guys like Baddabing, guys I respect and look up to. To do that, I feel like I’ve got to beat the man.” He went on to say that Baddabing was the number one middleweight in the world and if anyone laying claim to that title would have to beat Baddabing…or whoever beat him.

That’s what Boba did. After surviving a first round scare on the ground, Boba managed to clinch up Baddabing and rocked him with a short right before finishing him off with a massive uppercut. Boba was now the man and anyone wanting that title would have to go through him.

Starting with the second Sunny Disposition fight, Boba went through six straight top ten middleweights. At a time when the number one pound-for-pound spot was controlled by Golden Glory and then Jeremy Tonal, Boba Fett was always there, breathing down their necks. He took on strikers, grapplers, clinch artists, he took them all…

Blitz NY presents BLITZKRIEG 128 OMNICRON!

The Note by BrotherHec

Intro

Ladies and gentleman we have an unbelievable card for you this satuday night. Within a few minutes of going on sale the entire Square Garden was sold out. New York will be looking to watching the biggest fight card they have had in what feels like a very long time. From Sam Hall to Orville Redenbacher the card has it all two champions going head to head with top opponents as the 170lbs title is on the line and the 205lbs title is on the line.We are only a few days away and its going to be an absolute insane night. Before we start I just want to mention that I have an interview with the one and only Orville Redenbacher that will be available in the next Tycoon Times. So, are you ready? Grab a bag of popcorn and lets get started!

Atlister the Demon vs Ladislav Hemsky

Well tonight the first main card fight is going to be absolutely insane as we get to witness two of Blitz NY light heavyweights collide. One is coming from the infamous Ascension as the other a very well known face within the Blitz NY cage. Atlister the Demon will take on Ladislav Hemsky in what has seemed to be a long time coming. Atlister who left Ascension shortly after Ascension 100 has moved his sights on becoming a future champion in Blitzkrieg. Not only will his sights be on the other light heavyweights who will be fighting tonight but also on the Light Heavyweight title itself. If he is hoping to make a name for himself here its definitely gotta be in his first showing against Hemsky. Although neither fighter is in the top ten in this division a win here tonight could certainly bump either one of them up into that respective area. Hemsky who has been with Blitz NY since Blitzkrieg 99 is no doubt a very good fighter who is well rounded in every area of the game. Fighting only seven times in Blitz he has had the weirdest pattern that I have seen recently. Losing his first fight by knockout in the first round he would later go on to win his next to fights by TKO only to lose a second time in Blitz but bouncing back to win another two fights after that. His most recent performance was after those two wins and it was a horrible defeat for him as he lost to none other than Wanderlei Vovchanchyn. Ladislav, now 28 years old, knows that this might be his last run at the light heavyweight championship. A loss here could really send him so far back that he might never get a shot at the belt he has desired to win so badly. Partridges fighter is said to be ready and better then ever and truthfully we wont expect anything less than the man who has years of experience behind him. The Pitbull whos sixteens wins have given him 2 fight of the night awards and one knockout of the night award but theres one thing this warrior has never had and never even fought for, a world title. He has scored it to be on the main card the first time since he suffered that horrible

Popping off with Redenbacher

Fighter profile of Assistant Coach by

Ladies and Gentleman I sat down with the Blitz NY Champion, who is no doubt one of the very best in the business, Orville Redenbacher. At his weight he is ranked number two in the light heavyweight division and is just outside the top ten as far as pound for pound rankings goes by being #11. Currently Orville is on a nine fight win streak and looks to take out his very next opponent Ignatius Reilly on August 4th at Blitzkrieg 128: Omnicron. Sitting down with Dwayne Perry’s prodigy I was able to learn a lot about the man and his plans and hopes for the future. I hope you enjoy this time reading the interview of Orville Redenbacher, so grab yourself a bag of popcorn and lets get on with it.

Orville Redenbacher it is an absolute honor to be with you, you are the current Blitzkrieg light heavyweight champion and you are training for a very tough opponent in Ignatius Reilly, how is training going? Everything couldnt be better.

Good this is actually our very first time meeting and I have been a fan of yours since I started writing. Is there anything you would like to say for your fans out there before we get started, maybe young fighters who are making their way up the ladder? I would like to tell the young fighters out there to stay hungry. Victory is always just 1 punch away!

GAMMA#247 Chigurh v Bantrell

Event Preview: GAMMA#247 Chigurh v Bantrell
Global Association of MMA
2012-08-04, Las Vegas, MMA Grand
Author:Mentor Guru Corleone

This upcoming week we will have another HUGE show in Las Vegas. As GAMMA puts on yet another huge PPV show.

In the co-main event we have 2 of the most prospective 265lbs fighters in the world.

Mark Makers 11-2-0, 840 p4p, a long time GAMMA-Contender graduate, has had a fantastic run in GAMMA since his promotion going 5 wins out of 6 since moving up the ranks. He will be facing Fidel Duberry 12-1-0, 389 p4p. Fidel, who himself is also a contender graduate, is still just 24 years of age, but has already proven himself against the best, beating Buster Grimes, Kuiskaaja Rajantakaa and Sam Alito in his last 3 fights. The fight against Mark could be enough to set him up for a title fight.

In the main event we have Ascension's Sebastian Bantrell coming to GAMMA for an exclusive super fight. Sebastian is 21-3-0 and 136 p4p currently and has only ever lost twice (Merrimac Mjolnir x2). The fight against Anton is easily his biggest test so far though.

Nemesis Fight Club

Elite Nutrition, Fight Organization, Rio de Janeiro
Company profile by Stu Pidasol

Tokyo's first and premier 100K+ ID restricted org and one of the games best ID restricted orgs wants to rasie the bar... The org is home to some beastly 100K fighters.
11 time 265 pound and current 185lb champion and Nemesis HOFer Antonio Hong P4P #261
The ever dangerous and current 170lb champion Craig Hanks P4P #340
The lethal superstar in the making and curent 2 time 205lb champion Gabe Christainson P4P #502
The former reigning 4 time 170lb champion who is hungry to take his belt back Jay Hunter P4P #944
The evergreen and current 145lb champion Officer Franklin P4P # 961

Add names some new kids on the block in Shane Luger, Mark Kyle and Mikey Kim along with some Nemesis stalwarts like Keio Jun, Mark Ramos , Yoshi Gomi and of course the now punch drunk Quinton Marshall and you can understand how and why Nemesis is in the position it is now.. There are plenty of the games top managers fighting out of Nemesis.

As an owner I have always done everything in my power to ensure that each and every manager in the org has a great experience.. Often that has come at a cost to myself and the org in regards to not always matching making on hype+pop, paying above the market rate for fighters.. I want to do more though.... You get a fight poster each week and all Nemesis fighters get sponsorship through our Merch Partner and one of the great up and coming clothing companies in the game LA Elite Clothing

I have never had grand plans of Nemesis becoming one of the top orgs in the game, recently though I had an offer to be brought out by ONI and while it was flattering, it also made me think that it's time Nemesis stepped it up a level...

What I'm looking for is a VIP manager that will run a private gym for Nemesis fighters (you will also be able to put your own fighters in there). I will cover set up and also short comings in gym fees - you will also be payed to a weekly wage that we can work out between ourselves...

I'm looking for 1 or 2 writers that can do a preview and review of the 1 event per week Nemesis holds... again wage can be worked out but it will be worth your while...

And finally I want your fighters, do you think you have what it takes to beat the Nemesis champions listed above plus a host of other dangerous 100K fighters??

Valhalla Hilo 5 Weigh in

Event Preview: Valhalla: Hilo 5
Valhalla: Hilo (165k+ ID)
2012-08-03, Hilo, Wild Bob's Bar - Hilo
Author:K Bucko

PEDRO: Welcome once again, fight fans, to the official Valhalla Hilo weigh ins, from historic Wild Bob's Bar, home of the hottest jalapeno beer on the Pacific Rim. With me as always is my partner in crime, Pepper Parks. Pepper?

PEPPER: Thanks, Pedro. I'm excited to be here and not just because Wild Bob keeps handing me shots. It's time to get this started as VH's sawbones Dr. Franklin Styn, no relation to Rich Franklin, has the scale set. The Hawaiian athletic commish gives the thumbs up and we are set to go.

PEDRO: First up is a heavyweight bout. Ultimate Fighter takes the scale, followed by Bronn Stokeworth. Both get the nod from Dr. Styn. Next is a middleweight match. Azrael Angel goes first, followed by Gaige Raymond. Doc gives the thumbs up for both. A welterweight showdown is next. Faustine Dael comes out, followed by Jacob Viss. Both make weight. Next up is another welterweight fight, and "The Korean Zombie" Chan Sung Jung is on and off the scales, quickly followed by Albert Guansing. Our last undercard fight is a welterweight bout is next. Ahmad Adib and Brynjar Skjeggestad both bet the okay from Dr. Styn.

PEPPER: Pepper is excited and hungry! Watching all these skinny welterweights made me want to throw ham and bologna at t

Team Disney/ The Four Kings Interview

Fighter profile of Jorge Aquino by Dead Disney

Four Kings Conference Call Transcript: Dead Disney, Jorge Aquino and Carlos Quintana.

Interviewer: Good evening, gentlemen. I'm happy you could join us. My name is Cortina Bergans and I'll be the interviewer/operator of this call. This interview will be webcast live and available for replay at 4Kingstv.com.

Dead Disney: Thanks. We're grateful for the interview.

Interviewer: It's an honor for us as well. Team Disney, can we start off with some introductions? Most Four Kings fans have no idea who you are.

Jorge Aquino: My name is Jorge Aquino. I've recently signed a five fight contract in Four Kings and I intend to completely decimate the middleweight division. I do not plan on stopping there, "Ms. Interviewer". I will not be satisfied until I have defeated every top fighter in every division north of middleweight, preferably by amazing knockout. And if any one of you maricones in the lighter classes want to get your ass stomped out by The Damager, give Mr. Early a call and I'm sure he'll hook you up!! I really don't have anything fucking more to say than that.

Dead D: Wow. You're higher strung than usual, guy.

Jorge A: Fuck that! I just want to fight! *disconnection*

Interviewer: Well, it appears we have lost contact with Jorge. The rest of you guys are still here?
