Hello and welcome to Hayashi's Lounge in Helsinki, Finland for HERO 23: Kasavanov vs Van Der Moot.. Championships have been changing hands at a furious pace recently. In three consecutive events, Alan Fei Hong, Eddie Torrez, and Georgi Todorov have dethroned title holders. Will HERO newcomer Maarten Van Der Moot continue that trend, or will Dimitri Kasavanov maintain his dominance of the lightweight division?
As usual, tonight's action is brought to you by Outkast Clothing Line. Check out their convenient Helsinki location when you need tshirts and shorts.

HERO 23: Kasavanov vs Van Der Moot
Prelims
Bantamweight Division: Takashi Yamamoto vs Vitor Freire
Freire used a dominant boxing game to dominate this one. Yamamoto should have gone for more takedowns. He was successful with the one he got, but Freire managed to get back up and continue to unload until Yamamoto was on his back. cont...

This report is brought to you by Andy Sim(as Joker The Pimp).
Peter Parker vs Siduri Rafter
The standup performance of Parker sealed the deal on this one as Rafter was just lacking in the offense. He couldn't really hold Parker down for a long time nor he could pull off a takedown early enough in a round to do much. Parker played pretty safe in the standup, occasionally clinch up to prevent the shots of Rafter. Both men didn't really fight in a pace that might create too much excitement though. Winner: Peter Parker(UD)
Les Grossman vs Kyle Mortis
Grossman was good in the standup but the real trouble for Mortis was once Grossman took him down in round 2. Mortis really didn't do so good in this match as his standup was not enough to go against Grossman. Once Grossman took him down, it was just a slaughter out there as Grossman pounded the soul out of Mortis. Winner: Les Grossman(TKO:Strikes)
Ty Angle vs Benton Styles
Angle was freaky with his grappling game in this one, really putting on the pressure despite eating many shots of Styles cont... |

Rivals XLIV: Blaze vs. Manlucas
Merchandise Partner: Hell's Kitchen Lab Corp (159.49 $150)
Welcome to Tokyo as Hell’s Kitchen Lab Corp in conjunction with Eternal Rivals is proud to bring you the Action from Shinjuku Indoor Arena. We have an insane line-up featuring two title fights and a very talented support cast for a night of fighting action.
135 lbs. 5 x 5 Minute Rounds Ricardo Ramirez (9-2) v Lee Kawasaki (6-0) 135 lbs. title
Well it was touted as a first round win by KO and not going fully to the way of the god it was a very quick and decisive win none the less. With Kawasaki taking the Fight pre-view to heart he came out firing and with immediate success had the fight on the ground and with determination missed his case with 4 failed submission and with the fight now back to its feet Ramirez worked his stand up and blasted his opponent while now stuffing all further takedown attempts.
With his range now zeroed in Ramirez cut Kawasaki half way through round one and with a right hand dropped him, mounted him just as quickly and then with some unanswered ground and pound the referee jumped in.
Winner by way of TKO (Punches) Ricardo Ramirez after 3:12 of round 1and going to 10-2 and still the bantamweight Champion.
155 lbs. 5 x 5 Minute Rounds Tyson Blaze (10-3) v Ramon Manlucas (7-1) 155 lbs. title
Blaze showed why he is the Champion with a failed clinch game, he resorted to trading some stand up and while eating some shots showed he has far more power than he has been given credit for as he unleashed a devastating combination half way through round one that had the challenger floored and simply giving up the ghost as he succumbed to the blows without fighting for a save.

BLITZKRIEG NY presents BLITZ 130 Design for Malice
The Note by BrotherHec
Intro
A couple of days ago, Wonnut asked me if I could do both previews for BLITZ NY this week. I took a look at my schedule, realizing how empty it was I then looked at the fight card, realizing how good it will be I wrote him back saying, CHALLENGE ACCEPTED! I actually never got a response back. Anyway fight fans welcome to BLITZ 130 Design in Malice! Tonight we have a present for you as you will see some great newcomers to Blitz bring it! Literally this card is insane. There is no title on the line but ill tell you what it is a huge night of fights where every fight has a high shot at becoming the fight of the night and I believe I had called two possible knockout of the nights on this one. I realize I am wasting your time so hey grab a bag of popcorn sit down and start reading because its about to get real!
Sergio Garcia Jr vs Clint Lomax
The first main card fight of Blitz 130 features “The Manchester Nightmare” Clint Lomax, the Cage Wars Title Holder of both the 145lbs and 135lbs division has come to Blitzkrieg for his second match and is looking on taking out Sergio “Quack” Garcia Jr. Quack, who is now 14-2-1 after he lost his Ascension lightweight title on Independence Day is looking to make a return to the cage with a win over a huge competitor in MMATYCOON. When Sergio won the Ascension title back in the ppv Bad Medicine most people were stunned. A huge underdog going into that fight coming off of a very painful loss, the first in his career due to submission, had now received the opportunity to fight for the title. Ascension one of the biggest orgs in the business after Blitzkrieg NY was no doubt a tough org to be part of and to own a belt in that org meant you were somewhat legit. Well, most people thought it was a fluke he won that belt so going in for round two he defended it against a heavy favorite in Zak Drezner who he also defeated not only to retain his title but to earn back to back Fight Of The Night Awards! On his third title fight the humble champion looked to defend his title for a third time against the very vicious Richard Dawkins. The fight only lasted three rounds before Garcia was pummeled by strikes suffering the second and perhaps the more devastating loss in his career. Well after ten fights in Ascension he finally came over to Blitz NY for the very first time to fight in the LA coliseum a place very near and dear to his heart as it was the place he won and defended his title, an arena he has never lost in with his home fans at ringside. Two years the older and about 21 more fights then Garcia Jr. The Manchester Nightmare stands ready and willing to dispose of the former Ascension champion. Looking to make a more fearful mark here in Blitzkrieg, his first fight was against the deadly Brian Peppers who he took to the decision under the Hall-Jarvae II card where he took Fight Of The Night in his very first Blitzkrieg performance. Now the cont... |

The Ben Stone Story
El Stoner - El Bandito
Ben Stone grew up in boring Fort Myers, Florida. Despite being gifted athletically he was too much of a stoner to take sports seriously. Mary Jane seemed to his one and only love. Fighting was the only thing he was ever good at but after killing a man with a punch in a bar fight he fled to Rio de Janeiro, and when he arrived he took up Brazilian Jiu Jitsu as a hobby to find a less violent solution to fights. He frequently participated in BJJ tournaments and quickly earned the respect of his mentors and locals for his ability in competition and ability to party with the best of em. When he was strapped for cash he'd resort to fighting in underground bareknuckle fighting circuits - the competition wasn't professional, but he got into some bloody brawls with some bad m'fuckers in places and neighborhoods that would make normal white men shit their pants. Rio gets bat shit crazy but down there he fought and fucked his way to being the greatest gringo Brazil has ever seen. After 5 years on the run the DA determined that the act was in the grounds of self defense - since Stone was a minor at the time of the crime, the victim was considerably larger and instigating the altercation - so the case was dismissed. Chris Karter got in contact with Ben Stone and convinced him to move back to the U.S. to train at Convicted Fight Club and become a pro fighter, breaking the hearts of many senoritas, but leaving as a legendary gringo.
Due to the criminal nature of his past charges it was difficult for him to get his license approved to fight in New York, so he showed up with a South American tan, beard, shades, and debuted under the alias Redmond Barry. His first opponent was veteran and former Solo FC lightweight champion Guillermo Gomez. 7-6 at the time, despite having a brown belt around his waist, 6 of his 7 wins came via TKO. Within the opening seconds Stone managed to get the fight to the ground and put Gomez on cont... |

Vicious Fights, Fighting Organization founded by Scott Campbell in Helsinki. It was known for tough fights and great shows, before Scotty decided to drop division and focus on tournaments - European Premier League and K-1 European Grand Prix.
EPL Season 1 and 2 build respect and fame of that tournament, and currently we are running Season 3 of it, where 14 fighters compete in 2 x 5 minutes rounds fight, to determine who will advance to the next round. K-1 Grand Prix finally has a second run as well - with the best kickboxers fighting in Finland under VF's banner.
Recently it was revealed that Scott Campbell, Chairman and COO of VF, thinks about creating entire Openweight K-1 division, to create place for best kickboxers not only in Europe, but in the whole world. As we know, there is not a lot of organizations that hold regular K-1 events, so VF tries to help this awesome striking-only combat sport to grow. It’s second edition of it, and probably it’s not last one.
Few weeks ago Scott hired young manager - Chris Garcia - who is responsible for regular division. Under his power Lightweight cont... |
We interviewed 4 fighters this week. They are all sponsored by Fightworld Formula, an award winning nutrition company in Montreal. Each were given a question or two about their MMA careers. Their answers are as follows.
"The Mad Ronin" Horato Muchada - Retired
Manager: Ethan Downs
We see the big "R" next to your name. But, are you truly retired? Or, might we see you as a corner man or possibly changing your manager's clothes in the future?
Muchada: I am retired from fighting. I have held title belts in 3 different orgs and I also fought several fights in the number one fighting org in Tokyo. I won my final MMA match with the same submission I started out my career with, so it was a nice way to put a stamp on my fighting life. As for what I will do in the future, right now I am just relaxing and enjoying my retirement. Perhaps in the future I will do some seminars at Ethan's gym or corner some fighters.
